Don't Allow Yourselves to be Bullied!
Fellow Democrats and Progressives!

Some of us are acting like abused spouses who are terrified that the Republicans will hit us again if we stand up for ourselves. Get out of that mindset.

We aren't married to the Republicans. We're supposed to oppose them, remember? The whole point of having a separate political party is to disagree, remember?

So the Republicans are going to "go after" Barbara Boxer for her vote? What were the Republicans going to do to Barbara Boxer if she had voted their way? The same thing!

The Republicans are trying to put the Democrats completely out of power. They are prepared to lie, cheat, and steal to do it. They have lied, cheated, and stolen.

Stand up. Fight back.

1.  A RW c-span caller called us left wing lunatics.
I hate that. All that name calling and no ability to discuss the issues.

3. Let them call names - that's all they have
I have the facts. I am not afraid to state the facts about the election shenanigans. They want to respond by calling names, that's their choice.

8. The facts?
They are laid out very well in Representative Conyers's formal statements.

The bottom line is that there are enough serious questions and discrepancies over the vote in Ohio to raise serious questions about the validity of the election process in America.

5. Yeah, so do most people. Callers like that make them look bad.
Just like Tom DeLay. Like Bill Clinton, we are provoking them to expose their worst nature.

6. Aren't they the cutest when they repeat Rush's talking point exactly
as prescribed:

Left wing news media
Michael Moore = bad
Move On.org = bad
Republicans = good
Democrats = left wing, holly-wood lovin' communists!

Too funny! Over and over - MSN being the Executive Branch's stenographer. Goebbels <sp?> would be so proud. ;)

2. Oh I don't hesitate to be assertive if challenged ...
These right wingers often fold like cheap suits if challenged. Since I grew up with right wing libertarians ... way way out gun toting' types, I know how to get in people's faces. Thank goodness that I'm a petite woman, otherwise I would have been in several fist fights. Fortunately the mostly upper middle class right wing broads only whine. "Earl did you hear what she just said!?! <eg>

7. Right on. We are a party of warrior philosophers, and the GOP misreads us
At their own peril.

We will fight for the right for all to vote. We will fight for the right for free expression without political repression.

We will fight, and we will win.

10. Exactly. Remember what Waters did? After the PodPerson
tried the Moore-a-logue, she stood up and thanked Moore for educating people. Take the charge and take right back to them.

11. True
There is nothing that they will do in revenge that they were not already going to do for spite.

They don't hit us because of what we do. They don't even hit us because of who we are. They hit us because they like to hit people.

It makes no sense to NOT stand up to them.

12. I agree!!! I am FOR "THE PEOPLE" and refuse to appease RWers,...
,...who are just out for themselves and for political power.

I've had enough of political bullying from those whose values include only themselves and their elite circle.

The people deserve to have advocates who refuse to appease power-mongering, political bullies!!!

They call us names because we have them on the run
They're angry today because we stood up for ourselves. Let's do it some more.

14.  The challenge did expose the racism of the GOP.
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 04:20 PM by tsuki
In claiming that voter sufferage is "aiding the terrorist," and voter enfrachisement is "bitter and partisan," they have exposed themselves for what they really are...(you fill in the blank.)

They had the chance to be part of a bipartisan look at the troubles faced by Ohio's citizens. They declined; they scoffed; they declined to participate.
