Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 04:18 PM by Inland
First, the Boxer Rebellion consisted of charging guns under magic spells to make one impervious to bullets. Unless you have a romantic notion of death in an adventure doomed to failure, don't use this.

But more importantly, what's the "rebellion"? All we want is for the law as it is presently written to be followed. Folks, there isn't anything radical about counting votes or about elections that are based upon the result, and since Delay wants to paint us as nutcakes outside the american tradition, please don't use a term that gives him license. Please.

1. I tend to agree. It's catchy, but the history of the first Boxer Rebellion
... is a bit iffy.

It would be nice to have a good buzz-phrase to use in talking about all this, though.

Suggestions, DU'ers? :)

3. The Repugs already started that mantra today even before the
vote was called for. I heard it on C-span today earlier. It was not our doing.

4. I don't like it because it's too narrow.
This is far broader than the actions of one senator, no matter how courageous she is.
