I agree with you that "We never mentioned Fraud or Putting Kerry in Office" and yes, they were defensive and looked stupid to many- but they don't care about the people that thought they looked stupid (many of us). They knew exactly what they were doing. They were trying to shift the focus of what the Dems were saying and attack. They were playing to the people who already believe every word they say and confusing the issue.
