What was the worst Republican "comeback" of the day? |
|
I nominate that sleezy guy (don't know his name) who went off on a side rant about Michael Moore. :wtf:

Voinovich, a man I've always thought of as, in the very least, fair, who I thought had integrity... well, he disgraced his reputation today. He could've declared his loyalty to his party without making a fool of himself, but instead he spit in the faces of his own constituents. Very disappointed in him.

I wanted to slap that smurk off his face, and his "sour grapes" remark was childish. As many of the Republican remarks were as well. The Democrats were loaded with facts, the Repub loaded with insults and name-calling.

I love the way she threw in the points about the computer fraud though--what a fool! lol
Several of those GOP clowns brought up points that actually harm their case and support the case that the Dems were making IMO (of course they are so arragant that they don't even realize it!)

27. Well, I thought bringing on |
|
Tom Delay towards the end, to reinforce everyone's perception of the Republicans' honesty and integrity, and leave it lingering in people's minds, was a master-stroke. It's a wonder they didn't make a direct reference to Enron! or his problems with the ethics committee!
After a Republican's comment about bipartisanship equating to date rape, John Boehmer's wittering about healing and coming together, renouncing divisiveness, etc, was quite comical. It was as if a pathogen said to the corpuscles defending a body against him and his army, "Don't be divisive. We need to work together. I took the initiative in this issue, so you should fall in with my designs. The country needs a healing period".
You know... an aggressive remedy to counter the pathogen would be kind of helpful for any kind of healing process to be envisaged, wouldn't it.
