7. Seemed to be quite a few MIA Members today
I'd be curious to know how many were actually in the District and just decided to be conveniently absent.

I was just glad to see Filner in that list!

5. Way to go Olver.

I never have to write that guy. He always votes the way I want on the things I care about. Think I'll write him just to say thanks.

10. How the hell is Holt not on there?
I don't get it. I thought this would have been a no brainer for him. With all his work with electronic voting and he didn't step up?

19. 17 of 25 Not Voting Were Repugs...
If they dem.'s would have stuck together with Boxer instead of their reptilian counterparts, most of these 17 would have been forced to vote.

Those 25 were cowards, along with the Democratic (GOP-lite) nayers.

Boxer has more courage and proverbial balls than all Dem. senators combined. Those kowtowers should be ashamed of themselves for lying down ONCE AGAIN. Why do we keep voting for people who refuse to fight for us?

20. Question: Why did Cummings vote nay?
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 01:04 AM by Blue State Blues
I'm not drawing conclusions or making accusations, but I am curious.

He is (was) chair of the CBC in 2004. I thought I read that he had signed on with Conyers with the challenge. So why the nay vote?

Any insights?

(Please, I'm not inviting ad hominem attacks on the guy -- by everything else I've read so far, he seems good. I want to know what his vote today means in a wider political context.)

Edited for spelling.
