6. It's not going too well so far.

I'm self-employed and, until January 1, had never been without health insurance in my entire life. Under the reign of Dubya it has increased to the point of being 1/3 of my net income, more than 3 times the cost of my mortgage and 4 times the cost of my property taxes. Needless to say, I'm on the "cross-your-fingers-and-hope-for-the-best" plan now. I live in the north and every time the oil truck leaves the driveway it's $500. My income has dropped significantly during the Bush years because people have had less money to spend on items that aren't necessities. What's next?
