3. Are people honestly threatening to leave?
I laid low during all this "kerry will win" stuff. I think Kos wrote a great piece about us needing to represent reality based politics, but that's just my two cents

6. Jumping out may not be the answer...
...but changing the party IS. I'm sick of the party moving to the center and trying to look and act Republican. Today we saw a few brave souls. They should be the ones charting the future of the Dem party.

How can we move further to the right without sitting in their laps? I don't believe we've moved to center, it's worse than that for some.

11. Me too. I'm sick of the Kerry Bashing, Dean bashing Dem bashing
I'm done yapping about the Dems who voted NO today. I still feel they failed us though.

12. It won't be FINE if many progressives switch to the Greens after this.
If you can be proud of 80 Democrats not voting on a no-lose issue, then your pride in the Democratic Party isn't based on much.

There won't be a replay of the ABB or the Anybody But Republicans mentality in 2008. By not acting like a real opposition party, the Dems squandered their best chance at building a solid populist voting bloc and have made their job 10 times harder.

Fortunately, I'm willing to work 10 times harder for a good cause, but not for the current Dem so-called leadership.
