I don't understand how NM went to Bush
The local paper published a map of the votes by county. Perhaps someone can find a link and NM has more dark and light blue regions than WA or OR, more than PA, IL or WI.

1. I don't know, but it depends on the population of each county
I haven't seen the Oregon map, but I bet it had small blue areas, respresenting the areas around Portland, Eugene, Corvallis, Ashland, and Astoria, with the rest being red. That's where the population centers are, but they don't cover much territory. The red areas of Oregon are larger geographically but have many fewer people.

3. Too much "spoilage"
Many Hispanic, Native American and poor area voters not counted. Bush "won" by less than the "spoilage" amount. Easy to just throw away the votes.

Greg Palast reported on his site www.gregpalast.com the early findings of false spoilage.

We have a fundamental problem with democracy in this country right now.

8. This was one of the stranger moments on CNN
into the early morning hours on election night. They gave NM to Bush and then said that something strange was happening and that the figure for Bush had jumped by 5000..anyway, they said it wasn't normal and they were taking NM back from the Bush total.

These guys were nervous and whatever was happening was causing some severe stuttering.

9. I saw that it was 230 am and it was Judy Woodruff
something about the AP and bunch of new numbers favoring Bush, said it was unusual and then said no it was normal, and then said no it was not normal, and then I knew the fix was in, so I quit watching and logged on the net.
