...don't really want to change anything, when you really get to the bottom of it. The status quo was the winner today, and the Democratic party is largely a status quo party - despite some heroic dissenters, they are mainly a go-with-the-flow party, not a revolutionary one. Only if the Democratic party is willing to swear off the corporate cash gravy train completely and permanently would they start becoming any vehicle for change.

1. I am so glad I live in Maine where we have voluntary clean elections.
Do wish we could find a way to make them mandatory, so we can send better folk to the Hill.

2. and that starts locally
locally, your own influence can be just as strong as the corporate influence. Work locally and the rest will fall into place.

7. Republican Lite is still not Republican.
So you can't say "none" as you did.

To start puttig real pressure on corporations to change their lyin', thievin' ways.

Let 'em know when something ain't acceptable. Both barrels.

8. That's the PROBLEM.
They don't "need us". They get their money from corporations and fat cats.

We need to change campaign finance. It should be public and/or grassroots ONLY.
