1. Entire democratic side of the house should have objected.
Most of the Republicans as well.

Without valid, trustable elections our system of government is a sham. And history is full of examples of what happens, eventually, when a populace becomes convinced their government is a sham.

And yes, I'd be saying this even if the results were reversed, and the objections were being raised by Republicans. I AM a registered Republican, allthough there is little I recognize of myself in that party any more.

2. That's certainly a lofty goal
which you know already, given the Repuplican party's hostile takeover. I'm thinking that more press would have been nice, at the very least.

3. All of the Dem Senators who spoke

for election reform should have voted AYE along with Sen. Boxer, instead of leaving her the lone vote...Also, there should have been a stress on INVESTIGATIG the 2004 vote as a critical part of the election reform issue.

4. I agree with the vote investigation idea
but my thought was that in NOT voting with Boxer, no one automatically has the tin foil hat label. Oh, how the Pugs like to label.

This way, Dems can say, "Hey, we voted with you. We're no conspiracy theorists. We even believe that Bush won. The question is, how did Bush win?"

Their position of innocent truth-seeking is now framed perfectly, while the Repugs will look like whiners and conspiracy theorists.
