NO DEFEAT, NO SURRENDER!
This must be our cause--transparent and accountable elections, the end of voter suppression. Otherwise, our democracy is lost.

Of course, we must also stop the privitzation of Social Security. Undoubtedly, this will be our first battle with the fascists in charge, as they are determined to try and ram this down our throats.

Let's see what legislation the Democrats introduce to reform HAVA and what they are prepared to do to see that it becomes law.

1. We're gonna have to do things differently this time around to.
We have to figure out how to fight back. Buy air time? Start a DU newspaper? getting people to protest? I don't know what were going to do, but we have to do it. We need our leaders right now too. I don't care if your mad at them. We are stuck with them for now and we're going to need them to get anything done.

2. You know, staring a DU newspaper...
...could work. No, really. I think it's a good idea.

Another idea could be for DU members to start buying up stock of one particular news agnecy...Fox would be a good one. There's what, 50,000 members here? If we all bought one or two shares...

I don't know how many active members there are on DU though. If you look through the profiles, most have few posts and I suspect many have stopped posting.

6. This is a great idea
Randi Rhodes actually had a similar idea with the whole Sinclair Broadcasting thing, everyone buy up some stock then act as a group of shareholders to redirect the boat.

Where do we start? Faux is a fair target, but does it make more sense to shore up our own echo chambers (i.e. Air America) and move into more markets?

4. see what dems bring to the table? legislation?
NOthing, nata, get it? Dems are powerless. Don't think they will realize this and help them, they worked on this situation for years!! Dems are powerless, you will see them do nothing. just play at work for pay, write bills that have no chance of passing. its over.
