As a DUDQ, I promise not to criticize or say I told you so...
when what could have been a momentous, history-making event is forgotten by next week. What an opportunity for our Democratic Senators to stand together, and shout loud and proud that they would fight for rights of the American people, even at the risk of their own political careers. It's only the future of our Democracy at stake, that’s all.

First step, got to take things slow, strategize. Nope, don't think so. Today was D-Day. D as in Democracy. So am I pissed? You bet I'm pissed. Political hacks, most of them. And Kerry wins 1st prize. Coincidence that his schedule takes him out of the country. I think not.

As for all the talk about how this is the beginning of the implementation of election reform, right now that's all it is, a lot of talk. But when I'm wrong I'm not afraid to admit it. Let me know when some of these chicken-sh*t Senators join Conyers in his efforts. Show me some actual results. I'll be happy to eat my words.

Disclaimer: Obviously I am excluding Barbara Boxer and all of the House members that pushed for this protest. During the campaign I didn't just sit on my ass and whine on the DU forum, and I don't intend to in the coming months either.
