http://www.webcommentary.com/asp/ShowArticle.asp?id=zieves&date=050106

<snip>Note to our leaders: Remember, it is we who must be the adults. If we’re not, the Democrat bullies will continue to control and run the playground. This is unacceptable and it’s time for you Congressional Republicans to begin the “tough monitoring” of the childish Dem tormenters. A strong hand is the only method they understand.

3. Oh please. Typical and transparent tactic.
Control all three branches of government and whine like the siamese cats in "Lady and the Tramp." Transparent ploy.

5. Exactly. I'm not going to listen to this nonsense anymore
Every time the Republicans call us a name we wince and run sobbing from the room. We're acting like such wusses!

Who cares if they call us bullies? Nobody cares! We worry about what name they'll call us while they mop the floor with our carcasses.

It's time to get down to business.

4. They are just upset...
because they aren't used to having anyone stand up to them and their thuggish ways. I don't care what the Rethugs think. I don't care what the punditology thinks. I loved it. I am the base of the Democratic Party and I am thrilled to see them orchestrate this protest. May it be the beginning of something wild and great! And to hell with the naysayers! They are not on our side anyway.

13. The call for the fascist response.
A legislator speaking up on the floor of congress is bullying. It must be stopped. Time to get tough and make sure no democrat ever speaks up in the Senate again. Democracy is being abused. Time for democracy to be purified.

or maybe we figured out that this crap works for the Rethugnakins. I'm sick of being nice and getting walked on. They are the ones who rigged this election and they know it. They are so pathetic and transparent.

15. As the shrinks would say...
....classic case of "projection," the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings or attitudes to other people, esp. the externalization of blame, guilt or responsibility as a defense against anxiety. (Merriam Webster's Medical Dictionary) Fits perfectly.

18. Wah wah --those "new Dems" are bullies
---excerpt--from article, with advice to congressional Repugs:

"The New Dems don’t play well with others and, given any opening, will shove you out of the sandbox. If you plan to remain in said sandbox, you’re going to have to become stronger, more courageous and increasingly consistent in your discipline. Children generally understand consistency. And the Dems, most certainly, require a strong and consistent hand."

A first volley of shots.

I am in a mood. Very proud of the people who stepped forward for us today. May we all have their strength when the fight gets dirty.

Disappointed in the silent, unsupportive Democrats. We're taking notes and pledge to have long memories.

21. Sorry, I couldn't let it go
i replied:

If you really think todays actions were a form of bullying you're a real asshole. Those people stood up against an unfair, unlawful vote as they should have.

As all those high and mighty republicans from Ohio should have.

I live in Ohio and saw first hand the dirty tricks that were played here so allow me to pull your head out of your ass. Ohio was robbed, don't you doubt it.

22. Give me a BREAK! "I know you are but what am I?" talk about
childish - they are the prime example.

It's also their SOP:
They lie, and claim dems lie.
They steal, and say it's the dems.
They cheat, blame the dems.
They start a war, it's the dems fault.
They surpress minorities, call the dems bigoted.

It's like the little kid who brakes the lamp and blames it on his brother. They KNOW what they are, and know how ugly it is, which is why they shift the blame on us.

24. Bush Didn't Win the soul of America.
In fact, just the opposite. His supporters were fragmented and varied. Voters scared of thier own shadow, the religious (un)right who hopes Bush brings on the Rapture, etc.

In my talking with co-workers they agree that we need to investigathe the voting process for honesty. Republicans may "trust" W to keep them safe but they don't appear to trust his political organization.

26. What a refreshing change from "spineless wimps."
We can't win, can we? If we don't speak loudly enough on an issue, we're jellyfish - if one Senator asks for reform of our flawed election system, we're .... bullies?

Funny thng is, no one even tried to say that certainly Bush didn't win, or they intended to change the election's outcome... - just that the election had a lot of irregularities that needed to be addressed.

How are we bullies?
