5. To be honest,
I had a difficult time accepting what Rondi Rhodes had to say today. I sure hope Mike Malloy does not agree with her.

7. I quite disagree.
Today was the first day in the, admittedly, VERY LONG HAUL back to Democracy.

The Dems framed it perfectly - keep the emphasis off the awful Shrub and ON the election fraud. Maybe now the corporate media will pay some damn attention.

9. I don't get Randi here yet; will in a few weeks, I think
But she apparently goes through more mood swings in a week than an entire sorority.

12. today was the death of Democracy, not the birth of reform
they have been trying that for years now and still do not have it right to the point that another election was stolen from us. I will never ever vote for a Democrat with an exception for Sen. Barbara Boxer and the Reps. in the house who stood up for us today. As a reward to David Cobb, I will be signing up for the Green Party. I am sick of the Repubs and their other party the Democrats. I never thought in my life I would think so little of them but I do now.

They do not represent us, they represent the other Republican party, you had better start calling them the baby elephants. What are we, are we battered wifes who are going to keep going back for more beatings from our Democratic Party husbands. I loved this party because I thought they were something that they are not, get over it people, they do not care about us anymore then the Republicans, FDR is died as far as these people are concerned.

The Democrats are pussy whipped by the Republicans, are their actions today not enough for you. I for one am not going back to be their whipping post anymore, I will leave that up to the rest of you who like to get beat up and ignored like the abused children of supposabily loving parents. I wish you luck in your destructive path holding to a dream that was given its death shot today.

17. I won't vote for or support any but those brave 32 either. But I'm still
left with one huge problem I'm wrestling with:

1. Voting didn't work in 2000, 2002 or 2004. Will it ever work? I'm not feeling very optimistic right now. Democracy in America seems currently as dead as a doornail.

2. Impeachment won't work with Congress firmly in control of the neocon fascists.

3. That leaves only revolution/assassination as a last resort if we want to save our country from its current desecration at the hands of these fascist bastards and spineless Beltway "Dem" wimps.

So... the way I'm beginning to see it these days is: if you had the opportunity to assassinate Hitler and all his thugs when you first got news of the holocaust, wouldn't it be your moral, ethical, humanitarian and political obligation to do so? Armed revolution won't work in this country because the neocon fascists control the military, the national guard, and the police forces. Sad to say, this leaves assassination as the only moral choice.

I can't believe I'm writing these words. Has it really come to this?
It runs totally against my grain as a human being and as a citizen. Yet follow the logic, and what other choice is there?

I will continue to hope against hope. Can someone please tell me what's wrong with this picture so I can move on from such murky thoughts?

15. I honestly think we ALL need to rest for a day or so to
clear our minds. Everyone has worked very hard and needs to give themselves a chance to deal with their many emotions.

Relax, congratulate yourselves on getting this issue to its current level, then come back to look objectively at what's been accomplished and what our next steps are.

16. this is what's been said every time our teeth are kicked in...
Honestly, the more you read, the more you realize how incredibly malevolent the entire system is, and that it can't really be fixed.

Two books I'd recommend for those who really want to get depressed, but feel the need to stay informed so they can't own your soul:

Rogue State by Bill Blum
Culture of Make Believe by Derrick Jensen

Peace to all those in pain tonight, for whatever reason.

18. she is disappointed in the senators
they should have stood with boxer. She is worried about our party. and the voting system. she doesn't think there is a chance in hell it will be fixed now.

in her opinion and rightfully so if ALL the senators voted yes the Press would have had to cover it. it would have been a big deal and something would have to be done.

now the king is elected to 4 more years. no big deal. understand. and we still have a voting system that doesn't work.

should Dem's. and others just not vote anymore? perhaps? she is truly concerned and worried about democracy. she really cares. its more than i can say for KO who just reads stuff off a TelePrompTer and trows us a bone every now and then.

she reminds me of myself - cant hide her emotions well. she is honest and when things upset her she says it. she isn't saying to leave our party but we must fix it.

19. RIP.
Democracy is no longer needed or desirable: too unpredictable for free-market capitalists. Corporate neofascism is building the perfect world.
