Look at this picture and tell me if you think he is turning his back on the American people?

4. Bull. He's in the only place (incl. SE Asia) where he couldn't be accused
(intelligently) of running away.

Same as everyone else...calling Senators, educating friends, participating in rallies...whatever I can do.

I am just one person after all..

28. Well good! I hope you keep doing it
Because this fight is just beginning, and John Kerry isn't the reason we're fighting it, IMHO. The votes of the American people, no matter who they vote for, is why we're fighting.

8. You're right
This would have played out so differently if he had been here. How could he turn his back on us like this. :grr: He should have been on the Senate floor demanding that they make him President. :nuke:

Yep, that would have worked beautifully. Thanks for playing.

22. The ONLY way this would have turned out differently today with Kerry
present is if he had signed confessions and videotapes of FBI agents handcuffing the perps. I, myself, was ticked off by Cam Kerry's letter this morning defending John's decision to concede - nonetheless, IMO, without the smoking cannon, there was NOTHING John Kerry could have done today.

:kick:

15. Why do we need him here? Didn't you listen to Heywad.
Kerry is on the ReThugs side. He doesn't care about the vote.

When the opposition quotes the candidate to bring down his party, I say...WE DON'T NEED KERRY.

16. Why doesn't the pResident have tea with the soldiers in Iraq, then?
Oh, wait. He's too afraid to go where he happily sends them. Without armor. In dilapidated trucks. To die. For a lie.

Yeah, that's it. Tea. :eyes:

7. Excellent!
LOL

Since Kerry is (take your pick) responsible for more Vets dying in Viet Nam because he spoke to congress, the entire mess that is Iraq(he voted for it afterall) or electoral fraud, why not make him responsible for the weather as well.

Kerry is a very busy bad man. That is what DU has taught me.

14. Don't forget the satanic rituals with his S&B buddies
Yes, he give Dr. No a run for his money, doesn't he.

No wonder Lynn made such a point of saying that he is not a good man. I think she's looking to replace her current "not good man" myself. Of course she'd have to battle Teresa and a few intern wannabes but hey, whatchagonna do.

6. So what!
He could have done more for the troops by standing up for democracy right
here today.

He has to know that Ohio was dirty but he is doing nothing. I worked my ass of for him. They had him right. FLIP FLOPPER no retreat ..... no surrender SURE!

I did not understand how he and the party can do nothing.

I live in Ohio and here is part of what I saw and heard ...

13. Bless him and bring him home safe
Amen.

I could cry. I still love seeing him.

What was it someone said the other day? He could be drunk at three a.m. in his pajamas and still look more presidential than Bunnypants at a press conference. Ain't that the truth.

I wonder what they're talking about. He looks so solemn.

Actually, he looks tired and a bit drawn.

17. Oh I see...
... when Bush** or Rummy goes there, it's a photo-op, but when Kerry goes there (to be securely out of town when the sparks fly), he's a hero.

Sorry, I bought it once, but I don't get fooled twice by the same pol.

18. Stop picking on Kerry cause his fight isnt our fight.
While W. is at home planning how to raid the SS trust fund and protect the makers of Vioxx from liability and celebrating his second coronation, Kerry is actually doing real work for our soldiers.

21. Work?! What, he's digging ditches? Give me a break.
You know, I'm a Green. I gritted my teeth and got to know Kerry and put in hours and hours for him/for us.

What he just did is unconscionable. And no, I get no thrill from saying this. I'd much rather be planning a party to celebrate his inaguration.

What WORK is Kery doing, exactly? He hightailed it out of the limelight to avoid the Al Gore effect. And left us to deal with this mess without leadership.

Go, John.

Couldn't bother to show up at the mock protest to a mumble a few words about election reform, might look bad...

Nice photo-op, though, Senator.

29. I don't like John Kerry, but....
I have a great deal of respect for his actions of this week.

No, not for "avoiding Washington" (if I had just lost a bitter, difficult race, I wouldn't want to be in the arena of my own defeat either, and I don't blame him for that), but for going out to the sharp end of the spear.

That soldier from the "Hawaii Power and Light Company" (an old nickname for the 25th Infantry Division) is genuinely glad to meet Sen. Kerry. I know how he feels- it's a good feeling to shake hands with someone from back home.

Out there in Indian Country, politics is nothing more than a distraction. Kerry is doing a good thing.

The Pagan Preacher
I don't turn the other cheek.
