Congratulations President John Kerry |
|
You won this election. You may never hold the office but you definitely won this election. The people voted for you because, in spite of all the shit they threw at you, you offered people a choice, a hope for change. You inspired millions of people to join our Democracy, myself included. You inspired them to come to the polls in record numbers because they believed that they could make a difference. You watched as a band of thieves blatantly altered this election. You bowed out of a fight you must had wanted to be a part of so the issue would not be the wrong done to you but the wrong done to me. I appreciate that. Anyway, if this reaches you somehow, thanks, sorry and congratulations.
Sincerely, Michael Lewis
p.s. I'll gladly support you in your effort to reform the election process. I may not vote for you again in '08 but I'll give you another shot. Hell, you won this time.

Congrats. You Won. You Conceded. Now go enjoy your remaining years in Massachusetts, which perhaps you bargained for. Too bad the country is likely to suffer for decades because of your lack of confidence and effort, but oh well.

2. But don't you see, he couldn't have won - it was rigged |
|
What the hell did you expect him to do? Lead a civil war? Get some common sense, shit. He had a rigged election and we are stuck in the middle of a fucked up war. The Fuck-headed President is well on his way to impeachment proceedings over prisoner abuse. He's an attorney, he's in Iraq. Wake up. There's more at stake here than making a point. The Congress and the Supreme Court will never put him in the White House. What other options did he have? Civil war or going after the fucker who just embarassed you in front of the entire world? You tell me, what would you do?

6. "The Fuck-headed President is well on his way to impeachment proceedings"? |
|
Who's going to impeach him? Republicans control the Congress. Even if we take the House back in '06 we'll never have the two thirds of the Senate necessary to convict. Face it! We're stuck with the bastard. :grr:

13. We will... see the problem with a Democracy is that these rulers |
|
get thier power from us. If the Dems can bring this tiger down with the prisoner abuse scandal, what Republican can stand up and legitmize torture. They'll have no choice but to impeach the fucker. They don't want to beat Bush, they want to kill his whole movement in one fell swoop. That's where this is headed.

from the rigged voting machines and all the other crap that went into stealing this election. Bush will never be impeached and removed - the repunks don't care if your a freaking criminal as long as you go along with them you're in...we're stuck with the idiot in chief.

21. Ahhh, see - yesterday showed us 2 things... |
|
We still have some power when we work together and we still have allies. We were fighting a rigged fight. The outcome was already decided for us. That's what needs to addressed and addressed by those Representatives who are willing to help. We have 6 in the Senate. John Kerry and the 5 Senators that stood up.

23. it is critical that we all work together. |
|
That's one thing the other side has on us--they have had a more unified message. Yesterday the Dems were united in the Senate and House with a unified message--and we made an impact. And this is just the beginning.
John Kerry has started a PAC for his grassroots supporters called "Friends of John Kerry, Inc." He's not giving up the fight. It's just been established, so if you are on his mailing list I suppose you'll get updates. The WH would have been great, but we don't need to just give up now. We have to be there to take charge when the other side self-destructs and/or are brought down by outside forces.
Remember, the rest of the world is on our side, so keep fighting!

The country is "likely to suffer for decades" because of... KERRY??
Since f**king WHEN?? The man never made it into the White House!
You remind me of the repukelicans' campaign tactics and ads--to listen to them go on, you'd have thought every problematic policy, program, and governmental action from 2000 to 2004 had been personally instituted and run by JOHN KERRY. The repukes' own inept, evil scum had been in the White House for 4 years--yet they had the gall to act like ANYTHING in the executive branch of the government was KERRY'S fault! How could it be, he wasn't IN that branch of government!!!
THE COUNTRY IS LIKELY TO SUFFER FOR DECADES BECAUSE OF GEORGE W. BUSH. Sorry if that offends you, BUT IT'S THE TRUTH. GIVE BLAME WHERE BLAME IS DUE.

11. What the hell could he have done in Ohio? |
|
Seriously, you have a Republican controlled Government and the Secretary of State is the fucking president of the campaign to re-elect your opponent, what would you do? He handled Ohio fine. He managed to draw attention to the election fraud without drawing attention to himself. He helped it along without standing in the spotlight the same way he did today. Remember the e-mail he sent, that's helping. He sent out 3 million of these emails. Talk about an advertising campaign. He helped today. Give the guy a break, he's not a super-hero though I am gaining a deeper respect for him as the days go on. I think he did just right in Ohio.

10. Kerry watched the 2000 Gore fiasco... |
|
... and did nothing substantive as a Senator to ensure Election crimes like this wouldn't happen again. In 2002 he watched as fellow Viet Nam vet ( and triple amputee ) Max Cleland get the shaft in Georgia thanks to Diebold & Co. He knew the fix was going to be in during this 2004 election , and did, WHAT EXACTLY ?!?
Barbara Boxer was the only one who had my back today.
Who cares which Democrat runs in 2006 or 2008 ? If elections are still run as they've been since 2000 it won't really matter, now will it?

|
I thought it would be election fraud but one way or the other Bush is toast. Once the NY Times and Washington Post get on board, which might take a while but they will, it'll be all over. The NeoCons will turn on him just like they turned on Rumsfeld.

18. Bush would have been smart to simply go down... |
|
A part of me thinks they let him steal it. You can't tell me that they didn't know what was going on. They knew they'd commit fraud. They knew there was nothing he could do to win, so they are re-defining the battle and calling on re-inforcements.

19. 3,000,000 E-mails that call attention to an event the media blocked |
|
On Jan 5th, John Kerry sent out 3,000,000 e-mails stating that he was not going to participate in the objection of the electors. He sent out 3 million e-mail nation-wide to draw attention to an issue that we were all championing in our own way. And people think he let us down? How many e-mail's did you send? With his e-mail campaign, he contacted people, informed them of a challenge to the vote and asked for help in reforming a crooked system.
Thanks for helping John.

24. We have the best of both worlds in JK |
|
He is truly a progressive Dem--more progressive than Howard Dean, and I don't care if anyone disagrees with me--he has deeply felt principles and values that he is working for.
And he is a Washington insider who knows politics and how to get things done in Congress.
Looking forward to this year and watching what he does. He ain't done yet, people. :)
