Can the election still be called for Kerry? |
|
With all the chatter about BBV errors etc, is it possible that Kerry could somehow end up in the white house in January? Is it theoretically possible anyway?

In theory.....no.
People are understandably hurt, and will be in denial of reality for a few weeks. Gore lost by 5000 votes in florida last time, but had the will of the people behind him...giving him justification to fight. This time Bush has the will of the people...3.7 million more votes and a GOP sweep in state houses, the U.S. house, and the U.S. senate. We are a conservative (stupid) country now. If Kerry fights this, it will destroy our party for the rest of the century.

we are hurt but we do not need to deny reality. we need to fight. of course we know how difficult it would be to dislodge bush from the wh.
bush does not have the will of the people and did not win this election. LIES AND FRAUD. start again from reality based facts. there is no mandate.
he does already have the congress but part of that too are these stolen elections and perhaps we would have taken that back as well.
we are not a conservative country. there is a strong minority but still a minority and shrinking.
want to destroy the democratic party. lay down and capitulate without a fight. we fought last time and we were much more determined and strong this time. nothing fuels the flame like indignation.

If the Ohio count puts Kerry's vote total over Bush's, then Kerry is the president-elect.
If any other state(s) suspect systematic vote tally fraud, investigate, and award more votes to Kerry, the overall outcome may (or may not) give Kerry victory.
However, I wouldn't put too much faith in these measures. The Republican Party is well able to stifle its normal disdain of "trial lawyers" in order to keep an unwanted outcome from happening.

If solid evidence came out of massive voter fraud, then each state would have to contend with the fallout, but would have to deal with it.

4. It's important to correct the voting process |
|
but we're not going to make up 100k-300k deficits in OH, FL and 3.5 million popular votes this way. Nobody has presented any math to back that case up.
Gore had the high ground to pursue a recount, because his deficit in FL was a mere 537 votes (and FL state law mandated a recount anyway) PLUS he had the edge in popular votes. The people who are screaming for Kerry to fight aren't thinking clearly.

the math does exactly prove the case. there is overwhelming evidence that we have been massively defrauded to the tune of millions of votes. perhaps 5+ million.

5. It's over. The campaign, the election, the democracy is over |
|
What's left is the people. And 49% of the people voted against George Bush. 49% of the people objected to deficits, wars, marginal progress in jobs and services or the combination of government and religion. Somebody had one or more reasons for voting against Bush.
We have the same problems before the day of the election as after. We have the same people. Let's talk about the problems. Problems and people. That's what the Democrats are good at.

If enough fraud is found in enough states to overturn the popular vote before the Electoral College casts their votes then, yes, it's possible. But it ain't gonna happen.
I still think that the fraud angle should be vigorously pursued, though - not with the hopes of overturning the result of this election, but to safeguard the integrity of subsequent elections.

10. Slim chance. But it's important to get the truth out anyway: to fix it |
|
AND to know we are the majority and the cultural BS is just that: BS. So, while it would be nice to oberturn it, it's still imperative to get the word out!
