After lurking around DU for the past two months, I made my first posts yesterday and was welcomed by two DU-ers. I'm surrounded by Republicans and being able to visit the boards since Nov. 2 has done wonders for my attitude. Cynicism turned into activism, and if it weren't for DU, I doubt that I would have faxed and E-mailed Senators, etc. Enthusiasm IS contagious, and I thank you, DU!!

Hello, I hate the regime. I think nobody and nothing I've ever voted for ever won, except for Mel Carnahan (for Senator of Missouri after he'd just died in a plane crash; his wife took his place in the Senate and was Rethug'ed out in 2 years). Except....I did call Senator Boxer's
voicemail on Wed. and urged her to not only be the Senator to stand up, but to avoid endorsing the Ohio electoral count. She did it. You people are mostly wunnerful; I lurked for a long time before I posted (in tonight's thread about how the computers should be the focus of finding evidence of fraud). I found Air America, found their Randi message board, found DU from there, before the election. Enough for now, note the low number of this post for me. Do you give prizes for the lowest post number to draw attention to itself?
