I say we split the party
These guys just don't seem to get it.
Very large corporations own both major partys

Howard Dean proved that we can compete with the corporate money by getting tens of thousands of small donors. I personally gave the Dean campaign 700 dollars. And I had never given to a politician before, but this is too important.....

WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!

If the DLC does not go with Dean I say we form a new party

anybody with me?

6. I would rather
vote for a candidate who may lose, but in the event he/she does win, I know will represent me ... not just talk alot of populist BS to get my vote, then turn into a corporate whore once they get to DC.

they will NEVER get the chance to represent you.

a.) You don't know for a fact that Dean would have lost - some analysts would argue that Kerry's narrow defeat had little to do with him being too liberal, but because he wasn't able to differentiate his positions adequately from der Fuehrer's and, in the absence of a clear distinction between the two on many of the issues nearest and dearest to voters' hearts, voters went with the known quantity. Sure, that analysis could be wrong, but then again, maybe it's not, my point is that the election results don't prove that liberals can't win elections.

b.) Even if you're right and Dean would have gone down in flames, at least he would have gone down standing for something and offering a sharp, marked contrast in the voters' minds from what der Fuehrer had to offer. And when, four years from now, the shrub has reduced the planet to a charred, smoking cinder, voters, had they been offered a clear choice between strikingly different visions, might have stopped to ponder whether they'd made the right decision and learn something from their mistake. As it is, they'll instead tell themselves that Kerry would have done no differently than Bush and, in many respects, they'll be right.

7. I don't understand.
Are you saying that if the DLC goes with Dean, that splitting the party isn't a good idea? If so, this seems rather manipulative to me.

17. yes Clinton probably did do him in
The rnc/dnc were terrified of a Dean win in the primary's, Gephart and kerry actually supported a 527 that smeared Dean right before the Iowa caucass.

The dlc will not pick Dean because he is a populist who cannot be "controlled" by corporate money, the rnc/dnc and MSM all coordinated to bring him down,

It was obvious to those of us within the campaign what happened, and Dean will set it all straight to y'all when this all is done playing out.........:dem:

14. WHAT WE NEED
is for a prominent leader in the democratic party to break ranks and join the Green party.

For example, if Howard Dean came out and said that the problems in the Democratic party are not being fixed (including election fraud) and he's therefore changing parties to Green (or other third party) then millions will follow him.

Without one of the leaders (or several) shifting, most of the people will stay there and then it's just "divide and conquer"

As for spine with a name like Pharaoh you should have a lot of that.
Now start being king and lead the army to kill the fascists.
As for lobotomy, me got big brains but I like them united.
See I believe unity is strength.

37. you're way off base
Why the fuck should we split the party? It's OUR party. We will do what we are great at doing and that's calling out those leaders that fail to represent we the base and our party's name. We are the heart and soul of the party and when we start electing people like Wes Clark and Howard Dean we will be well on our way to being truly represented.

44. hope I'm right?
That's the problem. Many start believing that those in office are our bosses. They work for us. They are elected. If they are reelected ( barring voting fraud of course) the problem lies with the base itself.

A new message to voters can quickly change warped points of view like this.

40. We should Infiltrate the Local Dem parties and change 'em
If none of you have ever gone to your local Dem party meetings, GO!!
You will not beleive how lame and clueless and out of touch they are
They seem to be in a 50's time warp
If each of us can get others in our communities to go we can infiltrate
and take over the locals and move up to a statwide than a nationwide effective movement.
