I tend to think of him as our servant not our savior, and believe he should know what the people think. So....I tell him what I think, and quite honestly. I refuse to succumb to personal fear....I am frightened for our country. I do tell him what I think. That's what democracy is about.

Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 06:35 PM by steve2470
suffers from a personality disorder characterized by prominent narcissistic and antisocial tendencies, coupled with recurrent grandiose religious ideations. It is likely that the patient has multiple soft signs of neurological damage secondary to a lengthy history of alcoholism. Patient complains about marital dysfunction and an uncontrollable desire to have anal sex with VP Cheney. However, patient's religious ideations co-occur with command auditory hallucinations telling the patient to lie to the American people about moral values.

Is that pithy enough ?

10. He's a weak man
who isn't bright enough to recognize that he's being used. It never fails to amaze me that people perceive his pig-headedness to be "strength of conviction". I believe it's entirely possible that he suffers from a psychiatric disorder, as has been discussed here. And I must say that if so many americans weren't glued to their t.v. screens, watching football or spongebob and forgoing any constructive thought, that the man probably wouldn't be in office today, corporations or no corporations.

I wasn't into politics in the 70s (I was about 10) when Tricky Dick got caught, but I'm thinking this guy is a MUCH bigger crook than Nixon.

86. Bush
is quite obviously a sociopath. Does he still drink? His brain is quite damaged, I'd say. He is small-minded and has a mean-spirit. He is unethical, inhumane, and so very NOT nice or kind. I keep trying not to hate him though, cause that only hurts me, not him. He is someone I do NOT respect, and I am sure if I knew him I would not like him. He is the worst president we could ever have, and I am ashamed that he is my president. I am ashamed of and for him, because he can't feel that shame himself. He has serious psychiatric problems and I don't like him near that button. How his supports don't understand that his smirk is a sign of disrespect, I do not understand. Smirking goes with contempt. He has contempt for them, and for all of us, because he is delusional and narcissistic. I suppose he has contempt for his supporters cause he knows how gullible they are. That's not nice!!

a weak father. Could never really please either one.
Emotional problem surrounding the childhood death of his sister.
Jeb was the favorite. Parents never thought he would amount to anything. Spoiled rotten by parents who really did not care much about him. Easier to give in to him than to really care.
Married his college drug connection, since no one else would have either one of them.
After Jeb married below his class, parents has to settle their political aspirations on W. At 40,he found Jesus, and stopped drinking, but is still an alcoholic. Prbably still drinks, which is the reason for the long disappearing tricks at Crawford.
Is self-centered, narcissitic. Not too bright. Values loyalty.
Functions at the emotional level of a 4 year old. Still has the temper and short attention span of the toddler.
Likes strong women around to take care of him, like the Mommy he loves/hates.
Easily led by simple, straight line ideas...like any sect. Could have been a Moonie or a Scientologist as easily as Christian. Christianity got to him first. Likes to play dressup in uniforms. Makes him feel like a big man.

33. My unprofessional opinion
I fully support the diagnoses of posts 9 and 27, which are probably pretty much correct professionally.

I just don't care because he isn't going to seek or get treatment. I just think he is a horrible excuse for a human being who lacks any sense of morality or justice and dishonors the office of President worse than anybody else ever has before. I don't wish anything bad to happen to him because he is only slightly less offensive than Dick Cheney and pray daily for his safety! But I sure would love to see him take his "bring it on" self to a street somewhere in urban Iraq, in his cute little uniform jacket, in a Bradley, for his next photo opportunity, so the freeps can check out his behavior then!

35. The only thing I wish for him and his closest confidants is some sort of
public humiliation that would be impossible for the media to hide, and impossible for them to explain away. I don't mean some small political indiscretion...but some HUGE embarrassment!! Something HUMILIATING!!! Something that would have people pointing their fingers at him, grabbing their stomachs, rolling on the floor and laughing until they were crying....That kind of humiliation is what I could consider the justice they deserve.

And if we DO impeach him..do you want CHENEY in there? The line of succession is disgusting!!!

...for a summary of obscenities he has perpetrated in just one policy area -- environment -- read RFK Jr's book Crimes Against Nature.

Sadly, a similar book could be written for each policy area describing how he has sold this nation down the river for political and corporate gain.

I guess I would have to say that I never imagined that I would ever grow to both fear and despise a "pResident" so fervently or overtly!

It is very clear to me, especially when I see him struggling and stammering in a pathetic attempt to string three words together to communicate, that the leader of the most powerful nation on the earth is a joke on humanity simply beyond the pale.

105. I'm sorry for the man sometimes myself.
He seems to lack some very basic feelings, and that is a shame. But, I don't think he believes what he is saying. He knows he is fabricating...but I do think he is scrambling for reality. I think he has more serious brain damage recently, and he does look so totally clueless most of the time, but I do think he agrees with the policy of get me more, to hell with the peons, and war to end all peace. I did, unfortunately, see a brief TV shot of him stating "I have earned political capital in this campaign, and I intend to spend it". He looked very arrogant and MEAN when he said it. Mustn't see him. Get too angry. Not good for me!! I think he has caused great harm to the spirit of this country. He has caused so much anger and hatred, and we are not only angry, but we are hurting because he has damaged our "souls", our sense of self, by causing us to feel so much anger and hatred. I know it's unhealthy, but I just can't seem to control my emotions when I see him, and this is from the first. I think there must be something which speaks to us so intuitively about this man...something which causes so much revulsion, disgust, and horror...it is something so "unclean".

There are other words for him but that one fits best. It hardly begins to describe the idiocy and evil he stands for but I think Prick pretty much will have to do.

He's the darkest, most evil force ever to sit in the Oval Office. I don't hate him, but I don't like him. Not at all. I hate his policies. All of them. He's a degenerate, over-hyped piece of Texas trailer-trash dressed up to look like a President when all he is, is a puppet for big business - oil and defense contractors, big pharmaceuticals, insurance companies, and Wal-Mart. 110. Evil has climaxed on Bush's "WATCH"
General Wes Clark summed it up the best, when he stated what would have happened in the military. Bush pranced around the deck of that carrier in a military uniform basking in his glory of "Mission Accomplished!", and Bush has proclaimed himself to be the "War President." General Clark stated that in the military there is a rule that if a commander is asleep at the switch and something happens on his watch, then that commander is relieved of command. Therefore, Bush should be relieved of his command.

Now, the worst attack on American soil occurred on Bush's "Watch", and strong evidence indicates that it was LIHOP or MIHOP. Bush was notified of the first plane hitting the Towers prior to entering into the school building, and he was notified of a second plane hitting the Towers at 9:05 am and that we were definitely under attack. Bush REFUSED to acknowledge or address the attack, until his 9:30 am scheduled departure time from the school. 25 minutes of playing 'poke the goat' was more important than the worst attack on American soil and the lives of United States citizens, according to Bush. FACT!

Bush is the most 'liberal' budget deficit president in history. FACT!

Bush is the first president since Hoover to have lost jobs during his occupation of the White House, and his economic policy still cannot keep up with population growth in this country. FACT!

Bush has successfully merged the United States Government with powerful corporations to create his corporate government for the wealthy elite, and has made United States citizens subjects of that Government. FACT!

Bush is birthing more evil today, and this country and world will have to endure it for years and years to come. Bush's 'right to life' is to give birth to EVIL.

I think we have to qualify the term republican when it is used to refer to bush or his fellow henchmen/women. Just like the term communist should be when it is used to refer to the crap that the USSR did - most people have no clue the communism really isn't what the old Russia was about.

It's time to use the proper terms instead of letting the right nice things up with the wrong terms.

...and why did I have to live during his incompent "reign" -- another 4 years of anti-democracy, sell-out of the common good to the highest bidder, dismantling of what made America great, etc., ad nauseum. At least the exit polls showed what most Americans thought of him. John Zogby's response to the exit polls: "This President defied history and logic." 51% disapproved of his job performance and the direction that the country was going in.

116. AL Gore would agree. Link to very good speech below.
Transcript: Al Gore Speech on Iraq at Georgetown University

http://www.brainthink.com/view_article.php?articleid=1713

"There are many people in both parties who have the uneasy feeling that there is something deeply troubling about President Bush’s relationship to reason, his disdain for facts, an incuriosity about new information that might produce a deeper understanding of the problems and policies that he wrestles with on behalf of the country. One group maligns the President as not being intelligent, or at least, not being smart enough to have a normal curiosity about separating fact from myth. A second group is convinced that his religious conversion experience was so profound that he relies on religious faith in place of logical analysis. But I disagree with both of those groups. I think he is plenty smart. And while I have no doubt that his religious belief is genuine, and that it is an important motivation for many things that he does in life, as it is for me and for many of you, most of the President’s frequent departures from fact-based analysis have much more to do with right-wing political and economic ideology than with the Bible. But it is crucially important to be precise in describing what it is he believes in so strongly and insulates from any logical challenge or even debate. It is ideology – and not his religious faith – that is the source of his inflexibility. Most of the problems he has caused for this country stem not from his belief in God, but from his belief in the infallibility of the right-wing Republican ideology that exalts the interests of the wealthy and of large corporations over the interests of the American people. Love of power for its own sake is the original sin of this presidency. "
