Poll question: Was the election rigged |

Did Rove switch a Kerry landslide (or at least decisive win) into a Bush win?

52. Said fix was in months ago ! |
|
Now Iam not happy that I may have been right, however Iam mostly upset at the lack of protest and even discussion on the subject. Also I would have thought the Dems would have been smart enough to lay out some kind of trap and catch them with their hands in the cookie jar ! Once again it appears everyone is going to roll over and the very few that dont will be painted as quacks !

|
The result of this election was the EXACT opposite of what was supposed to be.
It was stolen!

3. Mission Not Accomplished George |
|
An unpopular president who can barely speak English looses three debates in a row before the entire electorate.
He lost.
This reminds me of the Mission Accomplished banner he stood beneath when he declared the war over.
The war ain't over and neither is the election until we say it is.

7. Interesting article in the Detroit paper |
|
http://www.freep.com/news/politics/analysis6e_20041106.htmsays 24% of Bush voters said they could have boted for Kerry. Lists the mistakes Kerry made. Kind of a downer since we were so close, but it's worth a read.

I'm an agnostic on it so far. No doubt there were irregularities. But we need irrefutable proof of widespread and consequential fraud before we can say it was rigged or stolen.
Perhaps most Americans are just stupid? That would be my conclusion until I see proof of rampant fraud.

I don't know if the entire election was "rigged," but I certainly think there are flaws, irregularities and evidence that points to fraud in areas. "Rigged" smacks of conspiracy to me and I just don't have enough knowledge to make that determination.

Hey, gang, they did this in 2002, in Georgia, Minnesota and Missouri. They did it in California in the recall. They have practiced so often they really did a smooth job this time, so widespread it is overwhelming. After all, they know there have been so many plane crashes that people are getting suspicious. They would rather defeat Daschle than catch him on a plane.
But it is a calumny on the voters to say that we all voted for this pitiful figure. The voters turned out in droves to turn him OUT. But the machines reversed the numbers, or didn't work at all, pushing folks into provisional ballots, which they tend to throw out!
Stolen. No kidding. But they will not win. All the smart people are with us. Uh, the moral people. too.

on the American people, even if it is on HALF of the American people because YOUR half is too busy with its collective head up Karl Rove's ass, they are going DOWN and there is going to be a HELLSTORM the likes of which your creepy evangelicals have never DREAMT.
Manipulating an election is treason, a conspiracy against democracy. Get ready for the wrath of the *real* righteous, and wipe that smug look off your face before you're caught wearing it.

The computerized election companies are republican owned. Shit heads like Hagel got elected by owning the machines that counted their votes. Patriots like Cleland got bushwacked with some voter turnouts that are, well unbelievable.
Let's see freepers, you got the media, congress, whitehouse and the courts. Yep, YOU HAVE DEFINITELY WON!
Congratulations! Don't forget to take full credit for what happens to this once-great country/

And Did Bush visit Vatican City THREE TIMES for Papal audiences to ensure that US priests told their flocks to vote for him??
Yes, yes, and yes. After all Bush didn't know about the Diebold "correction" capability until late election night when Rove told him he would "win." Hence the change in * from nervousness to strutting calm.

we have to organize and enlist others in our quest for justice as if it weren't rigged. Absent hard evidence and some confessions from the reThugs, America (and, sadly, the rest of the world) believes Georgie won it fair and square.

That would be a good poll. I'd say about half for sure. Listing up the Democratic mistakes or weaknesses and the uphill battle against the mass media Bush machine I'd say IF we had been stronger, smarter and even more adept in strategies the margin would have been much higher. I believe that despite the polls apparent depression of Democratic support there too the "closeness" was indeed kept well within the acceptable MOT(Margin of theft). That MOT is increasing with every instance of Democratic party blindness and helplessness, every instance of blurring itself into some sepia photo of moderate Republicanism, but really mostly in the growth on media brainwashing and vote theft. The MOT in fact is being disappeared itself.
We have entered the land of lies when the entire top structure of everything significant is bent not to the right, but to fundamental untruths where ideology itself is a pitiful joke, where election reform is right up there with global warming.
In a sci-fi movie, V(Visitors) the aliens assassinate anthropologists and others who notice the physical giveaways of the disguises. That bizarre plot was funny and absurd, I thought. That wouldn't kill the knowledge. Now it is still absurd. Because there is no reason to destroy the knowledge in the first place. The ruling lie makes society impotent to defend itself. Equally upsetting is the beefing up of the impotent resistance movement by various heroic deus ex machina twists that never concretely raise the society out of the mire. A partial victory just sort of happens with big doses of wishful thinking.
