Ken Blackwell Up to More Tricks
http://www.cleveland.com/householder/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/ishou/1104237024313871.xml

Ohio's top elections official found no evidence to support claims that voting irregularities helped House Speaker Larry Householder win the race for Perry County auditor, a spokesman said Monday.

The accusations, which surfaced in a recent lawsuit that seeks to overturn Householder's narrow victory, caused Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to dispatch longtime Director of Elections Patricia Wolfe to Perry County.

"After an exhaustive review, she found no evidence of any fraud," just technical glitches and poll workers in need of additional training, said Blackwell spokesman Carlo LoParo.

Filed on behalf of Householder's opponent, Bill Crane, the lawsuit contends that the number of votes cast exceeded the number of people who signed voting books in at least 11 of the county's 46 precincts.

LoParo attributed the discrepancies mainly to voting books that did not contain the signatures of many registered voters.

2. Exactly. Right. Precisely. I LOVE it when they just come right out and SAY
what REALLY happened!

"LoParo attributed the discrepancies mainly to voting books that did not contain the signatures of many registered voters."

Okay, that's all. More votes than people who signed in at the polls to vote early or on election day or absentee. Well, then, never mind. We must've been wrong about this whole fraud thing all along. Thank God for Ken Blackwell !

9. Isn't the silence on this just amazing...
I mean, I know the media has covered serious bad sh*t only on the rarest occasion in past. Nonetheless, this silence on fraud and the election contest is still worth stepping back and listening to for a few minutes. It is like standing outside of a cabin in the woods on a snowy night -- silent, silent, silence.

And the complete inability of journalists to take any sort of authoritative/reportorial stance - just quote what 'de man from 'de office says -- don't question, don't add any independent thought whatsoever.

The fact that the election contest was *not* covered on MSM (blips on NBC, MSNBC, AP, CNN notwithstanding) says a whole, whole, whole lot. The ABC coverage of the new puppy at the WH was the icing on the cake!

I grew up being lectured on how terrible it would be to live in a communist society - not being able to choose your own job, being taught in school only what they government wanted you to know, experiencing a constant onslaught of propaganda from Pravda. Now I look to Pravda for a bit of truth our media can't manage. My how times have changed.

17. I'm with you. We have some up and coming heroes in the alternative
and left arenas -- Jon Stewart on Crossfire; Michael Rechtenwald on Scarborough; Michael Moore on the NBC morning show before the election; Jason Vest; Greg Palast. We gotta support the people who buck system and demand our 'media celebrities' actually report!

Further, it is questionable whether the machines are even capable of fulfilling the standards for Federal observers of elections as required in the Voting Rights Act. “Under Section 8 of the Voting Rights Act, 42 U.S.Code § 1973f, Federal Observers may be authorized to observe "... whether persons who are entitled to vote are being permitted to vote ...(and) whether votes cast by persons entitled to vote are being properly tabulated..." Furthermore, under "Prohibited acts" in §1973i, the "Failure or refusal to permit casting or tabulation of vote"...can result in civil and criminal penalties. "No person acting under color of law shall fail or refuse to permit any person to vote who is entitled to vote...(and) Whoever...knowingly and willfully falsifies or conceals a material fact... shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than five years, or both."

But let give the bastard 5 years for every African American he suppressed!

7. I live in Columbus, Ohio
Blackwell doing something wrong? No!

Perry County, Ohio was one of the counties that had precincts with 126% voter
turn out. Now that is a GOTV program to be in awe of.

Blackwell thinks he is 10 feet tall and bullet proof. Somehow I think he is in
for a big surprise.

8. Pat Wolfe is the one who told them to LOCK DOWN GREENE COUNTY
Oh, yes, she's VERY truthworthy and honest.

http://johnsoncity.blogspot.com/

V. Restricting Citizen Observation & Access to Public Documents

A. Warren County Lockdown: According to Representative John Conyer’s letter to Kenneth Blackwell (12/2), on election night, Warren County locked down its administration building and barred reporters from observing the counting. When that decision was questioned, County officials claimed they were responding to a terrorist threat that ranked “10” on a scale of 1 to 10, and that this information was received from an FBI agent. Despite repeated requests, County officials have declined to name that agent, however, and the FBI has stated that they have no information about a terror threat in Warren County.

B. Restricting Citizen Access to Election Records

Moss v. Bush alleges that J. Kenneth Blackwell, using his official powers as Secretary of State, ordered all 88 boards of election to prevent public inspection of polls books until after certification of the vote on December 6, 2004.

Greene County (Xenia, Ohio): On Friday December 10, two certified volunteers for the Ohio Recount team, Joan Quinn and Eve Roberson were hand-copying voter discrepancies from precinct voting books received directly from Carole Garman, Director, Greene County Board of Elections. Upon requesting copies of precinct records from predominantly minority precincts, Ms. Garman contacted Secretary of State Blackwell’s office. She spoke to Pat Wolfe, Election Administrator who told Ms. Garman to assert that all voter records for the State of Ohio were “locked down” and that they are “not considered public records.” Quinn and Roberson asked specifically for the legal authority authorizing Mr. Blackwell to “lock down” public records. Garman stated that it was the Secretary of State’s decision. As the volunteer team continued recording information from the precinct records in question, Garman entered the room and stated she was withdrawing permission to inspect or copy any voting records at the Board of Elections. Garman then physically removed the precinct book from Ms. Roberson’s hands. They later requested the records again from Garman’s office, which was again denied.
