Anyone for starting the NEW Democratic Party? I'm done with the old one.
We need a party that speaks with one voice. While positions may vary here and there, we have to take a stand on declared positions with leaders that support them and each other. I don't recognize those weak kneed Dems who don't have the courage of their own convictions and kiss the neocons boots.

We need a NEW, TRUE, Democratic party with Stephanie Tubbs Jones, Barbara Boxer, John Conyers Jr, Dennis J. Kucinich leading the way along with the rest of our representatives who had the courage to vote YAY!

32. help spread the word
labor is the backbone of America. It's time to get our message out in front. I don't personally advocate tearing down the Democratic Party but in a capitalist society the Dems need to stand up for working men and women.

Thanks for being a teacher.

3. Sure, as long as this means taking over this Democratic Party
I refuse to live the rest of my life under the insanity of Republican rulers/misrulers. A fractured Democratic Party in our electoral system would guarantee that. Why not take over like the McGovern people did except do something with it that is really dynamic? That's what I say. We become, emerge into, lead with ideas and policies the Democratic Party.

help anyone but the repubs.

15. Vote Multi-Party
If a Republican is sure to win, I vote green (with exceptions).

If a Democrat is sure to win, I vote green (they don't need me).

I only vote Dem when their in a tight race.

16. I copied this
But I like the POD party.

PISSED OFF DEMOCRATS

It high time we stop letting "our leaders" act like battered wives. "I have to
go back ..... I know he loves me."

You can not play nice with the bush group they lie, cheat, steal, slime, distort,
kill, and manipulate the facts to help only the ones they want. They also have the media in their pocket by in large.

POD party WE LOVE AMERICA TOO!

10. Don't get mad, get LOUD!!!
We need to flood the Judiciary Repuglicans with e-mails, letters, and phone calls in order to get them to understand how important this is. They MUST hold FULL investigations with subpeona powers.

<http://judiciary.house.gov/contact.aspx>

The idiots have megaphones, but we have numbers!

The Senate Democrats were cowed, this time by their constituents, into doing what they should have done in 2000. We can't stop now. The ight has only begun!

14. nope -- because life is (nasty, brutish and) short
and i'd rather pull established organizations in my direction. it just seems a better use of time. i'm not ready to re-invent the wheel just yet!

but i totally agree in the voice thing!

i watched the congressional black caucus deliver the debate yesterday, and i wanted to be be black (anyone remember Street Hassle?).

but here's the thing -- like elvis, and MLK, and Emminem -- The People yearn for this message, black and white alike. there is synergy here. there's a New Southern Strategy emerging. the foudnation is in place -- we need the election reforms -- and we need to capitalize on the election fraud along the way. we need to win THIS one. we need to stick together!

sunnystarr -- it's going to be a whole lot easier to bring them along with us than to turn the tide. please don't give up -- yet -- :)

our movement is still young, but check out all the great, constructive stuff that's going on on this board! join in -- we can use your energy,

here's my thing: we know that to be an elected democrat, you have to do waaaaay better than a mojority vote (factoring in the fraud). these politicians do not have it easy on the hill. the dems that we have up there are probably over-represented in terms of having real live supporters. lets not let THEM down.

19. I'm willing to be loud and have my voice heard ... but they have
to really hear us. Those 5 dems that wimped out and left Barbara Boxer standing alone should be hiding their faces in shame. No matter what Boxer says publicly I know it stung her -- I could feel it through the TV. I was so disgusted at the disgrace. All the Dems had nothing to lose and they should have all voted YAY and really make a statement to the world and especially to their base.

I have to look up that Dem Senator (from Ohio I believe) who sided with the Repugs. I think we should all let him know we'd be happy to show him the exit door so he can officially join them.

Sorry guys I'm proud and excited and pissed off and disgusted all at the same time and it feels weird.

Guess I'll go to bed to sleep off this feeling.

If people could have voted their conscience first and for their "electible" choice second, Dennis would have gotten a landslide in the primaries.

20. this makes me want to
boycott the vote.
i know it's wrong--i've always voted
but in 2006 if/when nothing has been done to eliminate the republican bbv machines in all the states...why bother? and if it hasn't been corrected by 2008 then really why bother? we know jebbie will win no matter what.

boycotting the vote might show these dems that we're serious; they can't stand up for us...then guess what? we won't stand up for them anymore!

35. Progressives will take over
the seed has been planted. I hope greens and progressive dems
can stick together for the next election. This will be the only way
to take the repugs down. I'm all for multiple parties, but look
what's happening. First we must take care of the repug disease.

I wish people would stop complaining about the dems so
much. We need to get to work. If the elections hadn't been
rigged, we'd all be cheering for Kerry and the rebirth of
our democracy. Don't let them get to us like this. WE
CAN PREVAIL & WE WILL!
