Is This The First Big Political Movement That Began On The Internet?
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 10:57 PM by Stephanie

I am psyched. It's not over. No matter what, we have gained from where we were a year ago. I predict we will not have a fourth paperless election.

This is such an authentic grass-roots movement. All of the information bubbled up from the internet, IMO. I think it's a historic moment.

1. Did you read about Sinclair sweating the advertiser boycott?
They're threatening to sue mediamatters and their mailing list. We're not totally powerless here. :)

3. Yes, it is a true movement!
All the people at the rally in DC were energized and ready to go to work. No matter how bad this administration gets, we will always have people to stand with us. I met a lot of friendly people from around the country that I am keeping in contact with so we can meet up at more rallies. Democratic underground is what started my activism. I get my news from here!

i think that's the only way the MSM knows how to discuss internet news. i think they are at least 3 waves behind the zeitgeist. we are way ahead of the curve on this! :)

5. Yes
I have been ahead of the news, among my friends, for the past three years at least. Really since impeachment. I've been called Cassandra.

6. MSM
The media never seems to know what's happening, i.e. any popular trend. Take, for example, the ones that know about things when they're happening ("us") as opposed to those who hear about them afterwards and are slow on the uptake ("them"). This is the case with anything, from the newest fashion trends and freshest music to the hippest upandcoming restaurant in New York City.

This will happen. It's simmering, I can feel it.

8. MSM - you are so right
I watch so much less MSM now than before 11/2. And when I do i know what they are going to report BEFORE they do, because I read it first... this is great.
