A teeny fact--that may suggest organized fraud
During Bush's presidential campaign--he didn't make one Ohio stop from Oct 2-20th. He was AWOL from the state. During this critical time, Kerry was slowly gaining ground in the polls; and was ahead in one poll by 5 points.

Bush's Ohio absence makes no sense. Ohio was critical. Even the media suggested that, "Maybe Bush had given up on Ohio."

Bush's actions seem to indicate that he knew Ohio was his--even though the polls indicated otherwise. Why waste precious time and money campaigning in a state that you know you'll win through fraudulent means? His absence makes perfect sense when you consider fraud.

During that time in October, Bush was predominately campaigning in the swing states of Iowa, Minn, Mich and Wisc. Gee--what a great strategy. Pre-plan to steal Ohio, so you can hyper focus on other very-close swing states.

Maybe I'm smoking my socks, but I thought Bush's absence from Ohio--during that long stretch of critical time--spoke volumes.

7. All through September
Bush had been showing a fairly significant lead in Ohio. That depressed me, and it didn't look like we had a chance there at that time. I expect he thought the same.'

See the polls for yourself. They were REAL BAD in September.

18. A theory
The reason why Bush was so ahead in September were because of a normal post-convention bounce and the anniversary of 9/11 (which were tied together despicably). The debates brought everyone back to reality.

I think there's something in this bush absence from ohio...it warrants further investigation.

16. In the last couple of days of the campaign, Bush was taking it easy,
speaking in a few vacation ballrooms for totally scripted photo ops, never breaking a sweat, and on election night I remember the smug look on his face as he loafed on a couch watching the "returns."

Kerry meanwhile was belting away at outdoor rallies in freezing rain in Wisconson. I remember wondering why Bush was so damned lazy when the race was so close. Now I know.

Why even talk about ohio, or the '04 election, or even 911 or the '00 election? the bushmedia luvit....buying time going blah blah blah... 2003 turned into '04 turned now into '05 and we arguing exit polls? When bushinc sent 140000 troops to iraq's borders before the UN gave bush a 'mandate' for war they in effect BLACKMAILED THE US CONGRESS, PEOPLE and tried blackmailing the UN itself, and it was done in the open, reported and discussed endlessly on tv and so on....the American people were BLACKMAILED by their own government because if the troops had not been used the US look stupid, as in embarassing stupid....and even freepers can see that! The mediawhores are going to lie outright about everything because if bushinc is nailed, they will get nailed too- it was the mediawhores that carefully spun the Iraq war bs w/out coming near saying the word BLACKMAIL.
Anyone thinks that an asshollo gonzalez can be seriouly considered as att'n general by the US people has drunk the koolaid that cnn, 'fox'news etc serves up...gonzalez is a hideous pinochet type pig...cannot people see that very few outside of the mediawhore world can possibly put up with the lies about the phony creep?...the USA was publicly BLACKMAILED and it seems no one sees it? It's an issue that should be hammered away with at every chance....blackmail is instantly understandable as bad...real bad.... and bush can't deny it

26. The source of Bush's schedule
On the Oct 24, 2004 "This Week" program, George Stephanopoulos made the comment about Bush's schedule. He observed that Bush had not been in Ohio from Oct 2-20, and then asked the panel, "Has President Bush given up on Ohio."

I don't have a transcript, but I'll see what I can track down.

I remember that, too, thinking to myself that he's avoiding Ohio because he's somehow jinxing himself every time he visits.

In response to the poster who said he was being cool the last couple of days and taking it easy, I remember bush as being very very uneasy. That's about the time he said civil unions were okay, and he was "at peace" with the idea of losing. He looked ill on election morning, kind of green around the gills.

I remember because he clearly lost the debates, and I found it ironic that he went "to his Waterloo" the day after.

Does anyone know anything about Waterloo, Ohio? It appears to be in Lawrence Co. But other than that, I don't know much about it. It MIGHT have some ties to his "dealings" on "the Fix" for Ohio votes...or may not. Just a thought. (NYT don't quote me on it!)

29. The reason he wasn't in Ohio is because he had already lost Ohio.

Take a look at the L.A. Times Poll of the battleground states (Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania) on October 27th. If you look at the Ohio section, not only is Bush 6 points down but the key indicators are devastating. He is 12 points down among previous voters! The L.A. Times has him losing Ohio, winning Florida, and neck and neck in Pennsylvania. The survey section on Ohio is both very comprehensive and virtually unrecoverable. That is why he hit Mich., Minn., Wisc., etc. because he had to make up for a dead loss with a wild card attempt in blue territory.

http://www.latimes.com/media/acrobat/2004-10/14837171.pdf

In many ways the immediate pre- and post-election polls are more devastating than the exit polls.

Board awaits state followup

By ERIN MILLER

"In a letter dated Oct. 21, Ken Nuss, former deputy director of the Auglaize County Board of Elections, claimed that Joe McGinnis, a former employee of Election Systems and Software (ES&S), the company that provides the voting system in Auglaize County, was on the main computer that is used to create the ballot and compile election results, which would go against election protocol. Nuss claimed in the letter that McGinnis was allowed to use the computer the weekend of Oct. 16.

Nuss, who resigned from his job Oct. 21 after being suspended for a day, was responsible for overseeing the computerized programming of election software, according to his job description. His resignation is effective Nov. 11.

The letter also included allegations that Burklo released a sheet from a petition packet filed by Auglaize County Common Pleas Judge Frederick Pepple last December."

53. July 10 - Kerry - Raleigh NC
From: http://www.johnkerry.com/ontheroad/071004_road.html

The Kerry-Edwards ticket brought their four-day barnstorming tour to a close in John Edwards’ home state of North Carolina -- before an audience of more than 25,000. The newly minted Democratic ticket shared with an energized crowd at North Carolina State University their optimistic plan to restore hope at home and respect in the world.

Since John Kerry chose John Edwards as his running mate, enthusiasm for the ticket has spread across the country and within Edwards’ home state.

“Together, we are going to fight for the America that we love,” Kerry said. “We’ll be fighting for good paying jobs that let American families actually get ahead and an America where the middle class is doing better, not being squeezed.”

In their remarks, Kerry and Edwards spoke to the heart of America’s values – hope and optimism. After three-and-a-half years of an administration that has squandered our leadership abroad and done nothing to lift up middle-class families at home, the Democrats said America can do better and that we do not have to be satisfied with a record of skyrocketing costs, lower paying jobs and shredded alliances in the world.

“John Kerry and I believe our country’s best days are ahead of us, and that there’s nothing America can’t do if we just put our minds to it,” Edwards said. “And with your help, we’re going to win this election, we’re going to make America stronger and we’re going to create respect for America all around the world.”

54. July 15 - Kerry - Philadelphia PA
John Kerry addressed the 95th annual NAACP convention and kicked off an election long effort to take his vision to front porches across America. At both events, Kerry pledged to make us stronger at home by standing up for our values, expanding the middle class and growing opportunity for all Americans.

“I will be a President who talks with everyone – those who agree with me and those who don’t,” Kerry said. “I will be a President who truly is a uniter, not one who seeks to divide our nation by race, riches or any other label. I will be a President who shares the values of people of all colors who get up and go to work every day, try to raise their families in dignity and want to leave this world a better place for their children. I will be a President who when he is invited into your home, will always say yes.”

Kerry’s NAACP speech came hours before he and his running mate John Edwards kicked off their campaign long “Front Porch Tour: Hometown Values for a Stronger America.” Over the next four months, Kerry and Edwards will visit front porches across America, speaking with families and neighbors about their plan to restore responsible leadership in Washington and help middle-class families get ahead.

55. July 16 - Kerry - Washington DC
Addressing the 2004 American Federation of Teachers National Convention, John Kerry highlighted his plan to build a stronger America by strengthening our commitment to education and giving every child the opportunity to succeed. Kerry’s plan will put new resources into our schools and take the next steps to finish the job of education reform, so that more students receive the education they need to get good jobs and get ahead in life.

“We can make America stronger by making a new commitment to our schools and our children,” Kerry said. “They don’t need a politician’s praise. They need a President who values a good education as the gateway to a good job, a better life and the best America. And if you send me to the White House, that’s exactly the kind of President we’ll have.” George Bush promised to “leave no child behind” and to end the “soft bigotry of low expectations.” Yet, he has failed to give our schools the resources they need (underfunding his own plan by $27 billion) and implemented No Child Left Behind (NCLB) with a top-down, Washington-knows-best attitude that hurts students.

Today, almost one-third of our high school students do not graduate high school, and more and more students are priced out and not attending college – despite the fact that a college degree is more important than ever.

In the classroom, teachers all too often do not get paid or treated like professionals, and do not get rewards for success.

56. July 22 - Kerry - Detroit MI
Speaking at the 2004 National Urban League Conference, John Kerry Thursday highlighted the Kerry-Edwards plan to strengthen communities and extend opportunity to neighborhoods across America. The plan will make our metropolitan areas stronger by honoring American values like opportunity and responsibility, growing the middle class and helping all families achieve the American Dream.

“When I look around this city – when I look around neighborhoods and towns and cities across this nation, I see what so many of you see every day,” Kerry said. “We see jobs to be created. We see families to house. We see violence to stop. We see children to teach – and children to care for. We see too many people without health care.”

57. July 23 - Kerry - Aurora CO
Surrounded by their families, John Kerry and John Edwards kicked off their journey to the Democratic National Convention in John Kerry's birthplace. Born at an Army hospital here, Kerry learned the value of service from his father (see photo), who volunteered to serve during WWII and was stationed here in 1943. John Kerry's mother was widely recognized for her community activism and service, including starting a recycling program in the 1970s long before such things were common. She supported the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for more than 50 years and volunteered at Massachusetts General Hospital. The values that John Kerry learned from his parents are the values that John Kerry and John Edwards will fight for in the White House.

58. July 24 - Kerry - Sioux City Iowa
While John Edwards visited with families at a rally in Milwaukee, WI, John Kerry held a rally in Sioux City, IA -- a stop on explorers Lewis and Clark’s journey west (see photo). The explorers overcame adversity and participated in one of American history’s greatest expeditions.

“That spirit of hope and optimism that defines America has always kept Americans moving – looking toward the next horizon and reaching for the next dream,” Kerry said. “Two-hundred years ago, it’s what kept Lewis and Clark moving westward after they buried their companion, Sergeant Charles Floyd, here in Sioux City. Today, it’s what keeps can-do American heroes always finding hope on the other side of hardship; always believing in a better tomorrow.”

In his remarks, Kerry recalled people he met while campaigning in Iowa, people whose optimism can be seen every day when they go to work, raise their families and play by the rules despite challenges they face in life.

“I have met people like this all over our country,” Kerry said. “They believe in the American dream, but it is always just beyond their reach. They live by American values, but they think it’s time we had a government that lives by those values too.”

59. July 25 - Kerry - Columbus Ohio
John Kerry stopped in Columbus as part of his journey to the Democratic National Convention in Boston.

In the 1860s, Ohio had the largest railroad system in the nation, linking Ohio to a growing nation and world. But now, that promise of opportunity has been undermined by shipping not just the products we make but our very jobs overseas.

Speaking with a family and their neighbors in Columbus, Kerry discussed the Kerry-Edwards plan to help middle-class families and create new and better jobs in America that will once again give American workers the opportunity to succeed.

60. July 26 - Kerry - Cape Canaveral Florida
John Kerry and John Edwards continued to blaze America's Freedom Trail into Boston and the Democratic National Convention with separate campaign stops in cities that symbolize America's commitment to science, innovation and technology - Cape Canaveral, FL (see photo with John Glenn), home of the Kennedy Space Center, and Raleigh, NC, part of North Carolina's Research Triangle.

America has always been about planning for the future by finding new solutions and better ways of doing things. We have launched men into space and pushed the boundaries of science and innovation. Capturing this spirit, Kerry and Edwards talked about how we can apply these same lessons to strengthening America by making health care affordable and accessible for all Americans - a key component of the Kerry-Edwards plan for America's future.

61. July 27 - Kerry - Norfolk Virginia
John Kerry continued to blaze America’s Freedom Trail to the Democratic National Convention with a campaign event in Norfolk, Va., focused on the strong leadership of John Kerry and John Edwards and their plan to build a stronger, more secure America.

Norfolk is home to a Navy base and symbolic of Kerry’s service to this country and his plan to build a stronger, more secure America. Kerry was joined in Norfolk by Vice Admiral Lee Gunn, Skip Barker (a fellow Vietnam veteran and Swift boat captain) and other veterans.

Kerry traveled to from Norfolk to Philadelphia in the afternoon. Celebrating the city that was key to our nation’s early freedom and strength, Kerry was welcomed by a huge after-work crowd on the steps of the city’s art museum – a location made famous in the ‘Rocky’ movies.

62. July 28 - Kerry - Boston, Mass
John Kerry Wednesday completed his six-day journey along America’s Freedom Trail to Boston, where 13 former crewmates and Vietnam veterans were waiting at the airport to join him at an arrival celebration at the Charlestown Navy Yard.
“We’re here at the end of a journey that began where I was born - in Colorado - and ends where America was born - in Boston,” Kerry said. “In these days leading up to our convention, John Edwards and I have blazed America’s Freedom Trail, meeting with people in town halls, city squares, front porches across this land to share our vision for an America stronger at home and more respected in the world.”

67. August 1 - Kerry - Taylor MI, Bowling Green, OH
8:15 PM - Taylor, Michigan
In Taylor, Michigan, 5,000 people came out to see John Kerry in a union softball game. He joined Downriver Fire (IAFF) as they took on the Detroit Hotrods (UAW). Kerry played second base and went 2 for 2 with 2 singles scoring 2 runs.

6:05 PM - Bowling Green, Ohio
North Main Street in Bowling Green was transformed into a Kerry-Edwards rally this afternoon. This area has leaned Republican in past elections but the 17,000 people who came to the rally didn't seem to care. Cheering loudly for John Glenn, John Kerry, and John Edwards, they committed to carrying ohio for Kerry-Edwards in November.

65. Bush was suppose to wait for the election results in Crawford, TX
But he abruptly decided to fly to Ohio for a brief stop, and then back to Washington to await the results in the White House. The media was very puzzled at why he made such an abrupt change in plans.

66. there are so many reason's/facts that massive fraWd happened but one simpl
e fact is so arrogantly telling! That is that Chimpy's campaign appearances were by "invitation" only. What bs! Who would be so arrogant to implement such a policy when you have supposedly the closest race (50-50)in recent history. Or so say's the paid off media.

73. every time * visited Ohio, his poll #s went down
What I read at the time was that every time * visited Ohio, his poll numbers went down. His handlers decided to quit while they were ahead.

Who knows, perhaps that reason was an excuse for the other one, that he knew he had the state in the bag regardless.

I wondered for weeks what Kerry was doing spending all that money campaigning in Florida, when we all knew Jeb would deliver it to * regardless of how many votes either candidate got.

76. Can someone explain some things to me????
In this thread, many people are remembering that Bush's people claimed that he stayed away from Ohio because his appearances there caused his polls to go south.

I also remember hearing this.

Question. If every time Bush entered Ohio, people grew to like him less and less...then how in the hell did he even win the state???

We're supposed to believe that Bush carried a state that grew to dislike him the more they saw him? WTF?

Even though Kerry led in many Ohio polls (one poll had Kerry up by 5 in Ohio), we're supposed to believe the candidate who won--was a guy who lost support when he entered the state. If Ohioans grew to dislike Bush the more they saw him--wouldn't his national appearances, ads, other media coverage--negatively affect his Ohio numbers as well?

Furthermore---If Bush's handlers thought that the President was losing support when he made campaign stops there--why did they organize a major-blowout rally with Arnold in Ohio, during the last days of the campaign?

There are so many contradictions here--and stuff that defies common sense.

And another thing. Most of Bush's campaign appearances were talks with small, fiercely loyal audiences. Remember the fascist loyalty oaths? Are we supposed to believe that 300 die-hard Bush followers suddenly disliked him after his speeches--so much so that polls across the entire state plummeted? One appearance in Dayton made the entire state sink?

And yet, he won Ohio.

I don't know what all of this means. I just know it doesn't make sense to me.
