1. Because of our DLC/DINO governor, Richardson
Cobb and Badnarik had challenged the outcome, but Richardson said they needed to come up with the money for a recount within (if I remember correctly) about 15 hours.

Since that was clearly impossible, the results, which had something like 17,000 people leaving their nice warm homes to go stand in line only voting for judges, and ignoring the national race.

I will vote pubbie to get rid of Richardson.

2. I really don't know much about New Mexico politics,
but - naively, I guess - thought Richardson was a strong Kerry supporter. I was genuinely shocked that he undermined the NM recount effort, and still don't understand why he did it.

Was he po'd because Kerry didn't choose him for veep?

4. i have been thinking about why richardson did this
everytime i think about new mexico, being in the next state, i feel that richardson cant have it cause he is hiding something. maybe that is what he did. maybe it is the money he spent on these machines. they cover his state, i dont remember which type of voting, but i saw the map. those machines and the ones in southern texas early voting were stuck on bush and on straight dem vote should all dems and bush, and would take try after try to get kerry on it. a lot of times was repigstered a bush vote and people gave up

maybe it is richardson was a fool and that is all, he knows it and trying to protect his ass. i dont know what it is, but feeling like he is hiding something

also in a big hurry to clear the machines if they havent already

8. He's hiding his embarrassment at buying all those damn machines!
The only solution is a grassroots movement in the state to get rid of all those unreliable machines, which have completely over-run the state!

Can you put through popular referendums in New Mexico, like they do in California? That would be best. Second best would be to stir up a movement which can ultimately inspire and/or pressure the state Legislature to get rid of the machines. Academic studies could be helpful.

6. Richardson wants Presidential run in 2008?
If this is true, maybe it influenced his decision. I wouldn't support him

The chief cabinet aide to Mexican President Vicente Fox says New Mexico’s governor showed an interest in running for president of the United States in 2008.

7. It's funny how these Election 2004 traitors think there is
going to be support for them in 2008.

I'm now Green, but supporting anything Dean will be doing. Rank and file aside, the Dem party is Boxer and those who voted fraud on Ohio. Others will not get my support for anything.
