One problem with exit polling
Exit polls only ask those who voted on election day. A large number of people voted absentee. There are two reasons for this. Number one: it's more convinient. One can avoid long lines and research the candidates and ballot measures on their own time. Number 2: because of the concerns about black box voting the absentee ballot presented an alternative.

Many of those voting absentee voted weeks ahead of the general election when certain issues like the debates and the OBL tape were not newas. Likewise many states allowed early voting.

1. absentee votes not counted in reported tallys we're questioning
they are tallied after.

2. And those numbers were added when?
And how does that account for the fact that the exit polls were accurate to within 2 points in EVERY STATE EXCEPT THE STATES WITH NO PAPER TRAIL?

Get back to me.

5. Can you give me a link?
I see a graph on the home page but no news story associated with it.

6. The graph I saw had Wisconsin listed as no paper trail.
I voted in central Wisconsin with optical scanner and I know I pushed one honkin big paper trail through that machine.

8. Optical scanner results can be changed as well.
All these ballots in the end are tabulated using a PC.
That's when someone can change the results. Just because you have a paper trail doesn't mean that the results are valid.

9. I understand that but it doesn't help our cause if we are
arguing with faulty info. I don't think Wisconsin can be listed as a non paper trail state just because if fits the argument we want to make.

3. Early voting took place in 31 states
this may explain the exit polls.

4. Oh, sure. Only republicans vote early.
I don't think absentee votes were even counted in Florida when the results were announced.:eyes:

7. Have they been counted now ?
If so, what's the final tally ? I haven't seen it anywhere.
