DNC Southern Meeting reported on NPR-- WATC |
|
:wtf:I don't know who out there still listens to NPR or any "News" media, after what we just went through (most of the vote fraud in Ohio and Florida was almost totally ignored), but on Sunday, NPR's Weekend All Things Considered reported on what went on this weekend at the Southern DNC meeting.
I don't know if it was just what was reported, but everyone who's voice made it on the radio was talking like * whipped us good, especially in the South. I didn't hear any mention of computer fraud, which I found quite disturbing. To me, it sounded like everyone of them (including almost every DU's hero Howard Dean) were in total denial about the MASSIVE computer fraud we just witnessed November 2.:grr:
If anyone (from DU) was there, and can give me a more encouraging report from this meeting, please do.
I'd like to hear from anyone who heard this report (or has heard it via Real Audio), and see if you agree that we need to give these DNC "leaders" a massive e-mail, fax, phone call "Wake Up Call" campaign.
Maybe this was just the Radio editing out the computer fraud talk again, but if they actually DO think * whipped us fairly, Folk, we got some work to do. :grr:

2. No responsible Dem politician is going to say that the election was stolen |
|
None of the members of Congress said it last week so why do you think that a potential DNC chairman would say it?

3. But do you think they are talking about it in private? |
|
Or have they totally written it off as fantasy?
If this is just "public" talk for the media, they did a very good job of it.
If they really think it was a clean and fair election, we really do have a problem. :evilfrown:

6. If they thought that this was real and provable |
|
Why wouldn't they be talking about it?

4. There was a panel of the candidates for DNC chair. |
|
Howard Dean plus 5 or 6 others. Each spoke for maybe 10 minutes on a set of prepared questions and then answered questions from the floor. Election Fraud/Election Reform was not mentioned. Most of the discussion was around organizational tactics. There was a general consensus that abandoning 20 states was a mistake. There was also consensus that an active DNC for only 6 months before presidential elections every 4 years was a mistake - that what was needed was a continuous presence which seriously backed local candidates as well as fighting for the presidency.
Dean was anything but "whipped" and stood head and shoulders above the others, IMO. He advocated wading into the south (in particular) and fighting toe to toe on Democratic issues. As in the primaries, he was so strong that the others didn't dare to be too "moderate". There was also a general concession that Dean and Trippi with the help of the Internet had changed politics forever.
All in all, it was upbeat.
I was disappointed in the lack of mention of election issues, though. A "blast" would help...

5. Perhaps Dean doesn't think election reform is as important of an issue |
|
as many DUers think that it is.

7. Do you have an email box for Dean, that he would see? |
|
If that's the only thing they were talking about, I personally want to give Dr. Dean a good shaking.
I lost my right to have my Vote counted by local Georgia election officials in 2002, when :puke:Diebold swept into Georgia and stole the Governors race, My House Rep, and the Georgia Senate. This year they stole the Georgia House too.
These Diebold elections :argh:REALLY SUCK!

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/contactus.phpOne of the options is supposed to be to send mail to Dean himself.

10. Everyone is saying the same thing.. |
|
"50 state strategy" "4 year campaign"
McAuliffe is preaching this line too... so its easy to see that this is what the DNC will be about in the coming years.
