I NEED HELP! -one, or a few people here good at making movies/vids online

I think we need a video that puts together all the things that have happened over the past two months, all the news stories about Ohio recount, lawsuits, protests, lack of media coverage, dealing with naysayers, snips from Jan. 6th rally, speakers, Boxer and Tubbs-Jones contesting Ohio electoral votes....i want to put it all togther in a video - much like the one that went around during the election campaign ------ does anyone remember the video put out called 'How did it come to this?' - it has the song 'Time is Running Out' by the band Muse. I'd like to put together something similar focusing on Election Fraud/Ohio Recount, etc - i want it to have snips of Jesse Jackson, Rev. Bill Moss, Bob Fitrakis - etc - all those guys - with a DIFFERENT song by Muse - one that has always reminded me of what we did here on this board - it's called 'Butterflies and Hurricanes' and when you hear it you will see exactly what i mean.

So anyway, the only thing i have is an idea and a song - but i need someone who is good at putting different pics and video clips together into one. if anyone is willling to help me with this i would really appreciate it - we can spread it around the net to those who don't really know what happened. If there is anyone who is willing to help, pleeeease reply to this thread or PM me. I know this will be great when it is finished.

I'm good with the technical parts. Maybe there would be some volunteers that would help with creative ideas (storyboard, music... etc).

5. well i definately have the music

and i guess it just needs to be a timeline of what happened from election night - when exit polls were changed on cnn and Bush started 'winning' - up until Jan. 6th when the Ohio vote was contested.....i'm sure looking around for all that will take a little bit of time. thank you for offering to help. i think i might need a few people to help with ideas on what quotes from speakers, news articles, even truthout.org pieces - as long as we get their permission....i guess i better start looking around.

20. Great idea Faye! I would not limit it to post Nov 2 though. I suggest you

include the videao out there of Chimpster and rep Peter King (I believe) who blatantly stated that they "counted" the votes. I would link it however I don't have it myself. If you get your hands on it then please post it for all of us. I would also include the Wally O'smell quote pre election that stated that they would deliver Ohio for chimpy.

Faye , I can do it all, including the online distriubution. Easy .....it is not. If you can aggregate the content....send it to me, and I will put it together and deliver it anyway you want...and deliver it much bettter than that vid. The C-span footage can be acquired by contacting C-span....it's all public record....I watched the entire senate hearing on the Ohio election issues, and there is so much facist rhetoric in there from the right....we could easily pull material out of it....I do this for living...but I would dedicate time to put this together if you could acquire the content.

26. I have use Pinnacle Studio

It is just a consumer level video editing software package. We used it to put together a series of martial arts training tapes. I am certainly not an expert. I think many people here are far more knowledgeable than I am.

:hi:I'm a currently out of work Video/Film Editor. I was thinking the same thing this weekend. I'm just learning a Pro-Level, PC based, Video Editing program, but I have 4 or 5 other consumer level, digital video editing programs that I could throw something together with. You would have to do "Producer" duties though.

The only thing is, This is such a good idea, somebody is probably already working on it.

I would suggest you check with, or pitch the idea to the PBS show "Frontline" (WGBH- Boston) or "Wide Angle." "Frontline" is an excellent show, and they seem to whip out high quality projects like this, very quickly. Their web site is <http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/>

I can't really recommend 1 "Frontline", because they are all REALLY good, but if I had to pick, try "The Persuaders" <http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/persuaders/>

Also, If you don't have the cash for T.V., you might want to go the Radio route with "This American Life" (Chicago Public Radio, Host/Producer Ira Glass)

it's not paid, i'm poor as hell. it's just a 'tribute' kind of thing to the whole cause and the events that took place.

i'm not really looking for it to be on anything other than online.

as for someone else working it - that's fine with me, this will be different, i assure you of that. and the song that will be used in the background, i'm sure no one else will be using it. thanks for the info and your offer. still got a lot of work to do to put the content together, then i'll repost again for final feedback.

I do need some shorts for a DEMO Reel (that I need to start putting together), a Demo Reel is something an Editor shows to perspective employers, when looking for a job.

I can do everything you need to get the job done -- it's just compiling the material, that's the big job.

You might find some people that do the web stuff better from the sound of some people who have posted here -- the short movie I posted here was my first foray into video compression for the web and I'm not that good at it YET.

I went to school for audio and that's where I specialize -- but I've been doing video editing and writing concepts and scripts for local bands to pay the bills recently.

So I can offer some input on several levels.
