Clarification RE: Danger Will Robinson post!

I did not in any way, shape, or form chastise newbies, or call any particular individual out in any way. It was not my intention to name names, or mention actual post counts as a factor, which I don't believe I did. I did say that anyone, even with 1000's of posts can disrupt.

I simply wanted to draw attention to the fact that we need to be vigilant and and careful, not criticize any particular individual.

There is no place in my post where I stated that all newbies are causing trouble or that only newbies do.

I apologize if it appeared this way, as that was NOT my intention.

May I edit the post and resubmit it, leaving out any mention of number of posts or anything relating to time periods or newness of the user? I think the infomation contained in the post is valuable.

I was just trying to encourage people to be careful what they say in their posts because disruptors feed off of it. I guess I said some things that could be construed as critical, but I didn't mean to.

...apologizing for any misunderstanding and making it clear that no offense was intended, as none was. I have read the rules, and understand that calling out newbies is forbidden, which is why I made it a point to stress that anyone can disrupt, and to not mention particular people by name in the post.

I was hoping to promote unity and vigilance in the camp, and nothing more.

Geez. I didn't anticipate such a backlash, I was trying to make a helpful PSA!

Talking about newbies in this way makes newbies feel unwelcome at DU. We cannot thrive without new members.
