Let's not forget the Green Party
on our list of thank you's!!! :)

Greens Paved the Way for Historic Electoral Vote Challenge

Columbus, OH —  Today's historic Electoral College vote challenge would not have happened without the leadership of Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb, who initiated the recount of Ohio's presidential vote and is demanding a second recount in federal court because the first recount was conducted in violation of state and federal law.

1. Thanks and welcome to DU. Word of warning, though, that some here
will yell at you for having anything positive to say about Greens. ;)

5. thanks for the welcome
and the warning... I understand! I must say I really admire the Greens... I'd probably vote Green if they had a real chance to win (perhaps that is somewhat senseless?). But in this election I really thought Kerry would have been a GREAT Prez. I do hope he runs in '08, though it upsets me that so many have turned on him now, it seems. I guess they're just venting their frustration, but I hate to see people blame Kerry like they do.

6. Well the current election system is not friendly to smaller parties, it is
true, which is one reason why I am fighting tooth and nail for election reforms. :)

3. My mother has been a registered Democrat for 47 years
but she says if the Democrats roll over on Social Security and give Bush his private accounts, she will switch to Green the next day.

4. Mousie, I'm a Green and happy that Cobb got his act together
As far as the Green/Dem thing, I'm a progressive first. And am happy to be here on DU to get some work done for our common goals.

9. One thing I just ENJOY about the Green challenge is, I'm sure
the Mafia never saw it coming. They don't fuss about us "treehuggers" much. lol

Nice to have the sandbagging go the other way for once! And I bet it scares the cr@p out of MendactyCentral to see how strong our coalition can be.
