3. They haven't even stayed around to watch the final vote counts
Every vote should be counted.

4. a little irony
I'm as pissed about this whole thing as anyone, but i must admit there would be irony if moveon.org....which (i believe) was named to tell republicans to "move on" from the fact that they couldn't get Clinton impeached AND convicted.....wouldn't "move on" from vote fraud.

BUT, that said, I hope they grab onto this too and start looking at the fraud allegations. I'm sure they have money to devote to it.

9. Um, I was told that moveon was named in response
Edited on Sun Nov-07-04 03:48 AM by Kaelinn
to the republicans who were trying to tell everyone to "move on" and get over the fact that the elections were stolen in 2000. They named themselves that as a way of saying, "Move on? We'll show you just how we'll move on..."

I could be wrong, but that's what I remember. In either case, they need to get cracking on this.

10. Atomic Kitty is correct
Moveon.org was created during the Clinton impeachment effort. It was organized by liberals and progressives who were sick of the repug's neglect of the important issues of the day in order to hunt down and overthrow President Clinton.

12. Soros is away in Europe tending to his business, but I believe (hope?)
he'll be involved in something when he returns.

7. I have been told there is a Plan B
I've been in contact with area people. These people who were in charge of the big cities in swing states are very devestated. That is why it is disturbing to see everyone turn on Kerry so quickly here at DU

They are regrouping. nuff said

8. Yes, I think you're absolutely right.
I'm not too pleased about how rapidly some people have turned on Kerry, either, although I do understand their frustration. I'm hoping they have a real reason to rejoice soon enough. ;)

11. I HOPE you are right.
But I've learned not to count on hope.

With or without Kerry, Soros, whoever, we need to find tangible proof of the fraud that is evident and nail the bastards who want to steal our democracy.

13. I haven't heard a squawk and I get their newsletter, as I assume that you
do. Yes, I voted on 11/2. Are we asking folks if they think that their vote didn't count? This is a very good tactic. I know that people are worried, as well they should be. I am pretty sure that I am okay in NY, but I question, from what I've read, the vote in Ohio and Florida and Nevada. And I'm sure that there are other states in question. It's pretty scary.

14. We need less media publicity
while we gather hard evidence. The media would/will make a mockery of this, making the act of getting recounts where we need them harder. The rethugs would be out in mass with their brute tactics and dirty tricks and counter suits. Once the media starts their campaign against vote audits it's going to be slogging uphill all the way.

Does anyone know the deadlines for filing for a recount Florida? Cobb is calling for a recount in Ohio:

I read in another thread that MoveOn is looking for evidence of voting irregularities.
