Know this is old: "Purging of rolls, confusion anger voters"
But this is disgusting, reporting now when "conspiracy theorists" could have used a bit more help...

Purging of rolls, confusion anger voters
41% of Nov. 2 provisional ballots axed in Lucas County

Ralph and Barbara George are lifelong Democrats who first registered to vote for John F. Kennedy in 1960 and have lived in the same East Toledo house for 44 years.

They called the Lucas County Board of Elections early last year to make sure they still were registered to vote.

Informed that they were, they went on with life, including helping their son, just home from military service, to purchase a new home. Then, last fall, they applied for absentee ballots.

It was then that they were surprised to discover - too late to do anything about it - that they were somehow no longer registered and wouldn't be allowed to vote in the general election.

1. Get a lawyer.
I would. Make as much noise as possible. Embarrass the shit out of whomever is responsible for them not being able to vote.

We need to take this on one person, one case, at a time.

That is the only way we can prove there is a pattern, and get rid of whomever is commiting these acts of treason.

5. Exactly what are you going to sue the BOE for -
for following the federal law that says you have to purge the voting rolls of people who have not voted in the last two presidential elections? I am sure these officials will be horribly "embarassed" that they followed the law in the matter.

You don't like the law - work to change it. Suing people who follow the law doesn't do much except get your cases thrown out of court. Calling the actions of following an explicit federal law "treason" is not very productive either.

2. How in the world can the people who did this sleep at night??
Most likely someone who either is a Republican, blinded by the Passion to help, or a paid dude, or both...

They have helped a MONSTER into office and the crime goes undetected and they escape.... for now.

But when the damage Bush does some affects everyone including themselves(others) in different areas did the same or sim things...

they will know they fucked up and have a guilt to carry to the grave. They are a cursed people...if Christian, they will not pass inspection when reaching the Gates.

I wish fleas and ticks invade their lives fortever.

4. The Ohio law
says something like you have to vote in the previous two elections (I don't recall if it has to be the last two presidential elections, general elections, or just "elections"). I think the BOE also has to mail non-voters a card before removing non-voting registrants in order to give them a chance to challenge the removal, but I could be wrong. I don't think there's a requirement to purge the rolls of non-voting registrants, however. (And I'm currently too tired to care to look it up in Anderson's.)
