Do You think Kerry Still Think about US?
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 03:05 PM by Fescue4u
I gotta tell you, Im starting to think that Kerry really doesnt want us helping him out with this fraud issue anymore.

I cant tell you how dissapointed I was that he didnt show up in the Senate on January 6th. Granted I know that Iraq needs his attention to. But Damnit, charity starts at home! IMO the Democracy of the United States is more important that the possibility of Democracy in Iraq.

Anyway, it seems like the Iraq trip could have waited a few weeks.

Everything was there. We had the Democrats from the house. We had a Democratic Senator. All that was missing was Kerry "reluctantly" acknowledging the Ohio Fraud at the insistance of Boxer and team.

Sadly, our team showed up on Jan 6th, polished, well oiled and ready to win the superbowl...but we had no Quarterback.

Im really starting to feel that he simply wants to put the election behind him and move on.

Does he know that we are still out here pulling for him? Or is this something that should now be forgotten?

1. I thought the trip was okay
He is going to be on the committee that is grilling Condi Rice on her elevation to Sec of State next week. Perhaps the trip will give him some good credit in tearing her a new one over her past failures.

It seems to have been a relevent trip.

17. I dont think that is the case
But I do think he owes MORE to the American people during this crisis, than to the Iraqis.

Think how much more he could do for the Iraqis if he were president?

We need his leadership now more than ever!

72. If Kerry had been there last thursday, the focus would have been on him
taunted as "sour grapes" and negating the real issue, Voter Fraud. He was in the Middle east, without military uniform with U.S. Senator on it...unlike another person we all know, who likes to dress up :)

He looked very presidental, traveling to Iraq to see first hand what is actually going on there. Kerry not being in Washington on the 6th, good strategy.

I am sure he is gonna call on us to take his back. I am also sure that Yes, he does think of us.

I believe..

10. The '08 campaign will like the '04 campaign
unless the issues in '04 are fixed.

Without a champion, this fraud issue will just be boxed and up stored away for 4 years...to be reopened in nov 08.

Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 02:58 PM by meganmonkey
My efforts in the Election Fraud issue aren't a case of 'pulling for him' - it's pulling for democracy. I am not knocking Kerry, I have removed myself from the 'Is Kerry A Chump?' debate that seems to occupy so much space here of late. But I, for one, don't really care if Kerry is fighting with us, aside from the fact that it would probably help the cause. And even that is debatable, because the credibility of the movement is stronger in certain circles if he is NOT openly involved, IMHO.
It's about much more than Kerry.

Without giving specifics, attorney Cliff Arnebeck said challenges of the results would continue in state or federal courts. But he conceded that there was nothing available now to try to prevent Bush's inauguration.

"We are not quitting. We are going on to any other forum that's available and we intend to pursue those avenues aggressively," Arnebeck said.

There are also lawsuits regarding the illegal way the recount was handled in Ohio
http://www.nvri.org/about/ohio_recount.shtml

There is also a GAO investigation.

These things take time. Unfortunately, the one that was withdrawn today suffered because the courts wouldn't move as fast as the electoral votes.

It has to do with the promises about monitors on election day and asking for money for it! Hello! You don't monitor elections with lawyers! You use election people, programmers and IT specialists! Yes, he could have done more. He certainly had the resources to. But, the * forces had even more at their disposal. If Kerry had been any louder, the Repugs would have mobilized to squelch any discussion or examination at all of electoral fraud.

16. But why be silent to avoid being squelched?
The fact is that the other side will ALWAYS say we are sore losers.

So what? Grow a thicker skin.

Here we are, being silent because we are afraid that someone might squelch....just doesnt make sense.

The other side has already snickered at the Boxer rebellion. In the end it really didnt do to much except enterain freepers.

Id much rather that they cry at what we accomplish (while still calling us sore losers).

15. Here's what I think
I think he had his lawyers in there and examined the situation and determined that there was not enough significant fraud to sway the election. Seeing that, I think he decided to concede November 3. Once he conceded, he said that.

I think people are unrealistic to have expected anything else after the man conceded on November 3. I've said that before.

But the man continues to send out these stupid emails with hints and innuendos and no one can figure out what the hell he wants.

23. Feedback from a Progressive Dem in DC on Jan. 6th..
Hello to all,
I agree with the e-mail below, I was in those Senate offices when they
were getting hammered with the calls and it was wonderful, although not for
the poor staff, hey they wanted to work on the hill!!! No the Republicans
were not getting nearly as many calls, I went to McCain's and Lugar's
offices and it was not nearly as hectic. By the way the calls are what
pushed the issue over the top for most of the Senators, many were getting
calls as fast as the phone lines would allow, we started out getting
somewhat of a brush off by most of the offices early in the day but by the
end of the day on the 5th, most aides were coming out to talk to us
directly!!! The calls really did it, thanks to all that made them!!!
We have to face reality here guys, we had an enormous amount of hard
evidence of a fraudulent election in Ohio and a massive public campaign and
still only 31 votes in the House and 1 vote in the Senate, that's it, those
are the ones in Congress who represent us, all the other Dems are complete
sell outs!!! They are holding onto the kid gloves so that they can promote
their particular corporations when the feed bags start flowing again in
Washington!!!!
THERE IS NO HOPE FOR ANY ELECTION REFORM LEGISLATION IN THIS CONGRESS
UNLESS THE DEMS TAKE OFF THOSE KID GLOVES!!! The only hope would be if the
Dems got really tough and just bullied their bills through Congress
utilizing the media and massive call in campaigns but I do not sense that
kind of determination on the part of any of the Senators that I talked to,
even Obama who was lobbied very hard by the Black Caucus and who was put
into office by those very members of the Black Caucus!!! THEY BASICALLY GAVE
US LIP SERVICE!!!! That is what I observed! So I say let's test these
Senators and Representatives!!! Sen. Lautenberg said that he was going to
introduce the Fed. Election Integrity Act soon, let's push him to do it now!
House Administration Chairman Rep.Bob Ney said he would start an
investigation, let's push him to do it now!!! Kerry, that slimy sell out,
said he would introduce legislation to reform the system, let's push him to
do it NOW!!!! Let's call Reps Green-TX, Baird-WA and Delahunt-MA who are
going to introduce legislation to abolish the Electoral College, let's push
them to do it NOW!!! Let's call Hillary and ask her to reintroduce her Voter
Verifiable Paper Trail legislation NOW!!!! Let's call Durbin and ask him to
reintroduce his bill to end the Electoral College in the Senate NOW!!!
Let's write our letters with all the wish lists of reforms we have been
talking about over the past 2 months, send it to all of Congress and then
let's bug the crap out of the Dems about this issue, if they have not passed
anything by Spring you can kiss your Democracy goodbye!!! If the Dems are
not doing everything they possibly can to get these bills through after 2
stolen presidential elections, then you will know where the voter is on
their list of priorities!!! My sense is that we are very low on that list!
But I am willing to be positive and we will know by spring!!!
Kerry who is certainly the Senator with the most to gain from any type
of publicity about the fraud was so dismissive it was nauseating, I hold it
up as evidence of his complicity in the fraud!!! The Corporate Powers must
have just told him to step down and shut up, there is no other excuse for
his behavior!! Thanks God the Massachusetts people promised they will kill
any further political career that man has, they gave me their word!!!
Would anyone donate to a NYT ad that lists all the votes Pos and Neg on
the Challenge and the issues and a public call for election reform???
Let me know, Dr. Lora at drlora@ameritech.net

25. Thank you for your excellent post. My barometer on election reform
and the Dems will be to watch how they vote on Gonzales' appointment as Attorney General.

Personally I believe that many are in collusion with the Repugs and election reform that is meaningful doesn't have a chance in hell unless we can get the citizenry informed about what happened on election day, and the irregularities and possible fraud found afterwards. That's why am still far from pleased that the Democrats did not lock arms and all vote aye, in both houses. There would have been no ignoring that. Now different factions of the media have delegated the challenge to the conspiracy theory realm.

I am going to email you about a donation, although I wish we could get some 527 to run televised ads. That is the way to the majority of the people.

election...The Dems were criticizing him for 1. Not spending it on his own campaign and 2. Not spending it on Dem house & senate races...He finally did donate some, maybe quite a bit, but not all...I remember Donna Brazile saying something like "If he hadn't been pressured, he wouldn't have given".....
It bothers me because there was a really upset poster on DU the other day saying she was totally disillusioned....She'd personally given $10,000 of her own money to his race and RAISED $30,000 for his "GELACT" fund...She felt he'd let everyone down by seeming to do very little on the issue of election fraud.

Back in '72 or '73, who guessed that a President of the U.S. would have engaged in a 3rd rate burglary effort, such as Watergate?!...Were the Press as open NOW as it was then...This would be investigated widely and thoroughly, not tossed aside as "conspiracy"...reminds me of what I often heard in Catholic School about The Devil... I think Kerry ought to apologize to the troops in Iraq. And then spend those 15-50 million on body and car armor to send to the troops.

I understand that Kerry probably tried to get the election overturned, but in the end he failed because of Blacksick, disorganization, loose cannons, and Rove plants.

But I also understand that Kerry could have at least have a plan B.

But I also understand that Kerry is somewhat of a victim here

YOU ARE RIGHT. What have I been thinking all these weeks...

John Kerry should have been in the Senate on Jan 6th, and FORCED them to overturn the election. :wtf: was he thinking?

Senator Kerry, I gave you the best years of my life. How could you forsake me in this manner? How DARE you take a vacation to the middle east when you are supposed to be in the Senate overturning the election.

O' cruel world. Oh John WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME?

57. Will, tell them --- the damn whiners!
Why don't you cry-babies go grow a backbone. Just read Will's interview with Cameron Kerry on Truthout, Cameron tells it the way it is, and has been. Were misstakes made sure. Everyone is human. But remember the election was stolen. They would have stolen it from ANYONE.

You want to know what JFK thinks then read it. I would think his brother who is in the inner, inner circle would know. That is good enough for me.

Work towards getting something done that is positive. Didn't your mothers teach you crying never accomplished anything. We were all upset for a time (and still sad sure; I'm choosing to keep it to myself), but let's get over it and put the energy into the work that needs to be done.

Support our own, and that includes JFK. Everyone is needed in this war if we have any chance of getting our country back from the Bush Crime Family and the Neocon Repug Thugs.

84. I've been thinking about Cam's interview, and I wonder if it is
speaks for JK as well? While I know he's worked JK's campaigns extensively in the past...one must also consider that in any family's "dynamic," those who love us and know us best, often make decisions which we would not make ourselves.

This is not meant to criticize Cam, or others around him. It's just that JK's actions for the past 2 months do NOT reflect the "risk-taker" JK has been throughout his life thus far. They don't bear his "fingerprint."

55.  You seem new to politics. This was a
"political " decision. Barbara Boxer did not want anyone to stand up with her. She only volunteered as she has a safe seat. She didn't want to jeopardize and Senate seats that were up for reelection. Kerry could not have contested. It would appear to "self serving".

Everyone knew they couldn't overturn the election. Even if they had hard evidence which they didn't , they didn't have the votes. It just would not have happened. We were very lucky to get what we did! We at least made a statement. Kerry also made a statement and put it in the Congressional Record.

Kerry could not have done anything else. We did not have enough time to gather evidence. The repugs are very good at running the clock and that is what they did . If we were able to get hard evidence from inside the voting machines, it might have been a different story. But that hasn't even been ruled on yet! And even if they find it , it is too late. Bush was certified. There is NOTHING anyone can do.
We can only work to make sure this doesn't happen again, and Kerry gives every indication of doing just that!

76. So what you're saying is
that Democrat Senators are so cold and heartless that they'd rather be re-elected and save face than do something that could potentially save whatever millions of lives BushCo. will slaughter in the next four years. Or maybe it's that they do not yet how evil and vicious the repukes are. Or maybe it's simply because there were DLC plants who did not want to cooperate and therefore a 32-51 challege would be a humiliating defeat. That's what I think (or at least I hope) happened.

79.  I think it is a combination of factors. I don't think
,for the most part, they believe that there was actual fraud. Many of them think this is politics as usual and Bush got more votes. This is what nearly all of them say. And the 32-51 would have been a humiliating defeat for which they couldn't find a reason. I also think most of them want to be reelected not because they are cold and heartless but because they believe that they can serve as least as a buffer to protect us from the influence of the other side. We would naturally , want to reelect most of them if we want to have a majority in the Senate. That being said, I can agree that there are some that ought to be looked at again.

By going to Iraq he is setting up a parallel diplomacy and bypassing Bush. Imagine if he went to Pakistan, met with Musharraf and silently arranged for the Pakistanis to capture Bin Laden.

Remember during the campaign how he talked about Bush's colossal failure to engage in diplomacy regarding the war in Iraq? How we needed to get the heads of other Arab countries at the table? Well, even though he isn't going to be inaugurated, he's doing something about that problem! He is doing it because someone needs to do it!

83. I've been thinking about this very question, and I've come to believe...
that a lot of us aren't 'letting go'...because Kerry hasn't entirely 'let go' either (deep down inside). Sure he's trying to move on, and accept he won't be President in 2005...but that he can still be Senator. Though my bet IS, it's NOT "working" any better for him, than it is for us.

And his trip to Iraq, and the soldiers, really has to be bothering him so much...since War and its effect on soldiers is a recurring theme in his life. Because of which, he can NOT come back and achieve what he truly needs to for the soldiers, and for our country...as just a mere Senator. He knows that, I'm sure.

I agree he hasn't done everything the way I or others here had hoped, but for some reason...even though I say daily I'm moving on, something inside still tells me he's 'the Man' for the Big White House. (I just haven't figured out exactly how yet.)

Though yes, I believe he still thinks of it, AND us...no matter how it seems from afar.

No quarterback? If he'd been the qb, he'd have been sacked for 2 hours, and the focus would have been on "sore loser" rather than election reform. I thought Barbara Boxer was a great qb.

When can we get back to the real public enemy #1?

89. This isn't about John Kerry
Kerry has done a great deal for our country, and I feel that we need to respect that.

But like many others I think that he was mistaken not to fight this issue.

However, this fight isn't about John Kerry. We want our country back, and we believe (maybe Kerry doesn't) that the only way to get it back is to expose and fight the election fraud. If Kerry believes otherwise because he believes that he really lost the election, then we can fight this without him.

We have plenty of reserve quarterbacks on the team.

91. If nots not about Kerry, then its about nothing
There is no point in competing if you are not interested in winning.

Yes Kerry is just the focal point, the leader. But without such a focal point theres no point in doing anything.

By that logic, If we don't care if he gets elected, then we shouldnt care if he loses and Bush wins either.

We need Bush out of there and the fraud exposed regardless of whether Kerry thinks he won or not. His opinion of who won the election is irrelevant to our need to take our country back.

us for our support, but that we must move on, I don't get anywhere that we should and that the fight is still on to go after the fraud.

My last letter from Kerry was for the calls to the Speaker, etc. for Jan 6th. Has anyone had anything else?

(Isn't it awesome that 9/ll won favorite movie by People's Choice, which tells us that we are going in the right direction to fight this election fraud. We don't have a lot of time before the next elections to get rid of those paperless machines and to make sure everyone gets the chance to vote.)
