Did You Really Believe?
Did you REALLY believe that justice would prevail and that by an undeniable force of all that is right and good in this world fraud would be revealed and Kerry would be triumphant and claim what was legally his,--The Presidency of the United States?

Did You REALLY Believe?

I did.

we can prove all the fraud we want to, and I'm sure it will be proven conclusively in time...but John Kerry will still never be President.

62. several, all past
Once the electoral votes were certified, it's really absolutely over. Congress voted overwhelmingly to endorse the election results: even those who voted otherwise said loudly and repeatedly that they didn't think Kerry won.

It's over folks.

8. I still believe
Okay, it's not going to be as easy as we thought, but it's not as easy for the Republicans either, they thought they would win at all costs and that everyone would accept what happened and it would be like 2000 all over again, it's not, there is a growing activism in this country, articles criticizing Bush are now appearing in the mainstream press and when the money stops flowing, people will start talking, we have never had fraud on a scale like this, I don't care what was certified, once the truth is out, the people will demand a stop to the fraud, When there is irrevocable proof that the vote was hacked then there will be a change.

I'm 35 and I am just beginning to find hope.

All joking aside, we stand on the eve of a silent revolution. If you gage our fate based on DU prophesies, or what you see on the news, I could understand the cynicism.

Take a step back, and look at what is happening in this country. We, the people, have the power if we choose to use it. What I have seen these past two months gives me tremendous hope.

i am inspired by what I have seen accomplished, recently.

we were told it would not happen and it did,the election was

contested. While it would have been nice to get the person we

elected,it appears that is not going to happen. We can't have

everything, but we do have to continue to fight for what is ours, our

democracy.I think there is hope for getting back what has been stolen

from us for at least 4 years that we know of.

83. After Kerry conceded there was no turning things around
I know a concession has no legal standing but for Kerry to turn around and fight would have been a disaster. They called him a flip flopper before the election; can you imagine how the MSM would have skewered him after?

Even so I'm hoping there has been an awakening of the electorate to the need for serious election reform.

15. do i still believe
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 10:43 PM by Faye
that Kerry will be President on January 20th? Of course not, that is impossible at this point.

Do i still believe the truth will be revealed and the fraud will be proven? YES. More than ever.

Do I feel 'let down' or 'stupid' because I stated I Believe many times it's 3 threads? NO.

There is a risk you take when you invest in faith and hope. The risk of being wrong, the risk of looking foolish for having believed in something that did not come to be. As in religion, or spirituality. But if that day comes when what you had believed in or hoped for does NOT come to be, it is in no way a time to lose faith in what other good can come of it.

So in that case, yes, I do still believe. Justice will prevail, but only by the power of the people, and by those who believe.

surprisingly. i was devasted on Nov. 3rd and 4th, but this is different, at least for me. it's not like we had exit polls telling us Kerry was going to still be inaugurated. We had reports, lawsuits, and recounts telling us there was fraud and that it was in possible realm of possiblities but very unlikely that it would unfold in time to overturn the election. I was ready either way, for this one.

50. Not at all sick aching or numb here
Just hopeful. I did believe in the best possible ending, but I'm adaptable. Silly me, I somehow didn't realize how far this country has gone from "justice prevailing". So, I guess what I believed was somehow naive, but I still did believe.

I was somewhat "sick, aching and numb" when the election results were announced, but after a week or so, I realized that I wasn't going to accomplish anything that way.

I believe that truth will prevail in the end, and that we, right here, can make a difference. I can't say when "the end" will be - I hope it's sooner, rather than later. We can't afford to be apathetic, we can't afford to think "Bush won, get over it" - I, for one will never believe that anyway. It also seems that with each passing day, his shrubness is getting even more arrogant, bold, and unpopular. Not to mention downright criminal.

So, I think he's digging his own hole, and that we will help put him in it, because each and every move he makes is going to undergo scrutiny from this growing "underground" movement. And it's going to keep growing, because each and every move he makes pisses more people off. He's going to go down, and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

So, I believe.

I believe * will be even more reviled and hated than Nixon ever was.

Just a minor point of disagreement. I do not think Bush's most fanatic supporters will be forced to see the truth. Never.

Those who supported Nixon prior to Watergate, still for the most party supported him even after.

Fanatics (of any kind - and we have them here too) never change their mind. It's sort of part of the definition of a fanatic.

51. Without Hope, why bother to live? ALWAYS have a Plan B.
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 10:54 PM by johnaries
If Plan A fails, then implement Plan B, and it becomes the new Plan A. But, you better develop a new Plan B.

On Nov 3rd, all of us here knew something was wrong. Plan A was to prove it before the votes were certified. Probably wouldn't happen, but COULD happen. Work hard on Plan A. Plan B would be to prove it and have Congress challenge.

Plan A failed, Plan B is now new Plan A. New Plan B: prove fraud before Bush is Inaugurated.

Plan A partially successful, Electoral Vote was challenged and Election legitimacy is now called into doubt. Implement Plan B.

New Plan B. Impeach Bush. Granted, Plan B will be dificult to implement with republican controlled Congress. Plan C, prove Election Fraud before 2006, re-take Congress, then impeach Bush.

NEVER GIVE UP!!!! Or else, why even bother in the first place?

EDIT: spelling, of course! I blame it on the rum & coke.

We missed ya tonight :(

Rev did a mighty fine job finding us a safe and undisclosed location for our secret meeting.

63. I saw!
Except for a severe lack of :loveya: (which I chided them for in my post) it was a rousing success! (sniff... my children don't need me anymore.)

What is this thread about anyway?
:)

66. Yes I did
when I saw the articles about "being under the radar" and Cliff Arenbeck's challenge. But I am always too overconfident in things, which is why I often screw up. Now that I look back, I Kery should ahve used those millions to bribe Blacksick. That's what I would have done.

85. I'm waiting for word from Andy and Cliff
I know they are working hard for us. I thought there was going to be some kind of announcement/press release yesterday and I admit I'm getting impatient. I assume they are going after Blackwell.

then to jump the gun and be unable to fight it. Things are happening. : D

70. I believe we will prevail because the veil has been lifted and ...
we are all different tonight than we were just two months ago. The election fraud activism -- that has already sprouted in an MSM vacuum -- will only continue to grow (and grow rapidly) if WE don't go away. Fortunately, even here in Tennessee, the interest is growing -- not waning. And the incredible power of the internet (and of this particular watering hole) is a way-potent tool that we are wielding well.

Here's some of the evidence of growing activism from the Orange State:

http://www.51capitalmarch.com/scrapBook/december04/nashvilleTN12-19.shtml
http://www.tnimc.org/feature/display/4027/index.php

And here's how this one old yellow dog has changed in two months.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

Unfortunately, I'll never be a simplistically patriotic puppy (i.e., naive) again, but this old dog now has the scent of the election thieves up his nostrils and the baying of our expanding pack of rapid democrats will keep the thieves running 'til they're treed (or down a spider hole). I believe the "consent of the governed" will become our operating principle again. If you don't believe that, just hide and watch.

This thread should still be active (not archived yet). So here's another try at posting it. If it doesn't work again, I'll just repost my earlier message in its entirety. (No modesty here.) Thanks for asking.

78. I absolutely did. And for the same reasons....
....that I believed that all the obscene policies, immorality, and crimes that are associated with this administration would catch up to them, causing shame, scandal, and jailtime.

It is hard when right is overcome by wrong ( no pun intended).

You sure bolted out of the KOEB thread last night! "Behold, the power of estrogen!"

BTW - I'm glad I'm not the only one to remember "The Farmer in the Dell." I've had to explain that "cheese stands alone" WAY too many times.

97. I used to believe that good will win. Maybe it does in the long run.
But that long run might be centuries... eons....

Bad people win too often. People get away with all sorts of shit, all the time.

It sucks.

99. I used to believe
wholeheartedly. Do I now? Some days yes, some days no. Sorry, if some don't want to hear that "downer" attitude. But I can't help it, I'm only human. I think I'm waiting for someone to take the reins of this thing and lead us in the fight of our lives. And that's not happening, or maybe it's happening behind the scenes...which is the little bit of hope that I cling to on my darkest days. Right now, some good, solid, kick ass news would be oh so welcome...pretty please.

(waits for the popcorn throwing to begin)

101. Those who believe it will all fade away don't believe in Conyers
or the Black Caucus or those who care about the threat of losing the country.

It may fade away with the DNC and DLC and our other 'leaders' in Washington. Hound them.

One of the easiest things to do is point out the hypocrisy that is now America-U.S.

Promote the Conyers paper. Promote books and websites about the fraud. Demand attention. Promote AAR.
