Very interesting caller to Mike Webb yesterday
when Mike was interviewing Bev Harris.

The caller mentioned his experience when he turned on his Apple portable computer equipped with a wireless (probably Bluetooth) possibility and the voting computer of the e-voting technician on the spot turned up on his computer!!

The e-voting computer manufacturers appear to have been first boasting about the hi-tech wireless connectivity but then shut up about it when challenged by Bev!!

Bev asked the caller to contact her pronto but she did not want to talk further about the subject as this was something her group was persuing confidentially.

I think Bev and her crew are doing great work - but why is it only Bev? Are there not several thousands of computer experts amongst the Democrats who are getting themselves into groups to work on this problem.

Bev is a drop in the ocean and needs every helping hand to make this movement a tidal wave.

Regards

1. Donate $5 (or more) to Bev at blackboxvoting.org NOW!
Bev is on top of things and she needs money to take care of the filings under FOIA etc.. besides, I think Bev is the one who really gets it and can help us win this and help any one in law enforcement willing to listen...

Randi Rhoades was telling all her listeners that if they want to know what they can do, they should give $5 to Bev...

4. Do you think the terminals and/or the tabulators have wireless?
Yegods! And here I was at the voting precinct on Tuesday with my Clié UX-50, which has Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless. I should've powered it up to see if it found anything.

Oddly enough, the plot for a novel I wrote over a year ago is a mystery-romance in which voting machines are being manipulated via a wireless transmitter hidden in the central tabulator. It would be, like, just too weird if they actually DO have wireless. (It's too bad I'm not yet finished editing it.)

6. WINvote systems use WiFi
We have Advanced Voting Solutions WINvote machines in Fairfax County, Virginia, and they use 802.11b to transmit results from each machine to the central tabulator in each voting location. Then the results from each location are sent over phone modem (I think).

Here's the WINvote product page:

BTW, Fairfax County went for Kerry over Bush 244,000 to 211,000.
