So, how do we get a recount in Ohio?
I live in Cincinnati, and I got this email today:

Please join us at the Daily Grind Coffeehouse tomorrow night, Sunday, 4535 Montgomery Rd. (Norwood) at 7pm to discuss strategies for getting a recount in Ohio and possibly other areas. The campaign manager for Fanon Rucker will be there representing him (Rucker's on vacation) because apparently, he feels the election was stolen from him as well. We need as many people as possible to speak out. We need to take back control of our country while we still have a chance. This is not fair, the whole world knows it, we know it, and we need to demand justice. Right? Right! :) Hope to see you there.

I want to come to this meeting armed with info on how we can proceed. Please help, DU'ers!

4. look into state law
Go to the public library and look at the state statutes. If they are anything like here in NJ, the volumes will be broken out by title. There certainly will be one called "Election" or something along that line. Once you find the book, look under the provisions of recount. Photocopy the pertinent pages; I would think this would be something of value to the group.

8. count isn't finished yet
From the Plain dealer,

http://www.cleveland.com/news/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/cuyahoga/1099737086152630.xml

(Denny White, chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party) said he received about 200 messages about the recount campaign on Friday.

"Let's count them first before we do a recount," White said. "There's a lot of misinformation out there."

Election boards can't even begin to officially canvass the votes until Nov. 13, when the deadline for overseas votes passes.

Then election workers must audit every ballot in every precinct and recount all the votes to make sure things add up.

Then the counties certify their results, and Secretary of State Ken Blackwell certifies the state totals. Blackwell is expected to certify the results on Dec. 1.

Even if a candidate wanted a recount, it can't happen until after the certified totals are completed.

"People just need to be patient and calm down," White said.

10. badnarik is the only guy - aside from kerry and bush
who can challenge ohio... i've been in contact with his campaign manager. They will be meeting with the nader and cobb campaigns in Washington... it looks like they will make a concerted effort here.

It's not over yet.

We're down 3-0 in the series/
4-3 in the game/
9th inning/

the red sox came back, so can we.

11. You need to get five people from each county to ask for a recount
In their county . As well as getting these people , there are also the fees to be paid . I wonder if there is any way to get in touch with George Soros to help . I know he's already spent a small fortune , but these fees will be a 'drop in the ocean' , in comparison and he might have the added benefit of seeing * impeached .

We cannot just talk about action , we have to act . Go to this meeting and tell everyone to spread the word about this five people per county requirement . You can show them all the evidence you have that proves this election was stolen from them and you . Organise yourselves properly , appoint a spokesperson and a secretary to keep a record of your minutes . Appoint tasks and even start a recount collection fund .

The people of every state should help organise their own recounts , don't sit back and say we don't have to do anything , Florida ,for example , is going to have a recount . If you all rely on another state to prove the fraud and theft of this election nothing will get done . Prove your own state's election fraud .

Don't talk , come on ACT .:bounce:

14. Willing worker in Cleveland....
I've been channeling information to a friend in OH. Yesterday she wrote back with this:

"I am willing to keep an excel spread sheet on the irregularities and
compute them. I may even be able to get a lawyer from the law clinic
here at Case to draft the language for the petition. But I can't
register to log on the underground and let these people know because
the administrator has turned off the registration function. Any chance you are a member and can log on and let them know I am willing to help? I think its important that they be collecting data, but we need a central effort to do the computation and mobilize people to collect signers and then deliver the pieces to Columbus.

can you help me get in touch with these blog users?"

Here you have a person with time, energy and connections to help. PM me or email me at talkingdog@conninc.com and I will do an address exchange.
