What would you have done if you were in Kerry's place three weeks ago?

1. I like what Randi Rhodes said she would have done...

As soon as she heard there were horrendously long lines in Ohio's poor precincts, she would have gone there and stood with folks waiting in line to vote. That would have gotten the TV cameras there too. Then, she would have gone over to an affluent suburb and watched those folks vote with no lines, no waiting, once again bringing the media with her (and you know they would have followed).

But, alas, just 20-20 hindsight now.

2. I would have said that we'll know the result when the vote is certified

And get busy rooting out the fraud using the cash I had at hand.

But I'm a fighter. Kerry's a patrician statesman. I think we would have done better with a fighter, IMHO.

...Kerry went to prep school because an aunt paid tuition. He worked at a bottle shop when at Yale and never had much money. He was sleeping on people's couches and camping out when he went back to Boston from D.C. as a senator...Teresa considered him a "gypsy" when she met him.

4. Interesting story, but he's a patrician now

He's got the Heinz thing going now, and has for quite a while. I was, of course, more referring to how he came across during the election and not his childhood.

I so wish I had a rich aunt to pay my way through Yale, nonetheless...

5. unconcede and draw public light to "errors"

-Use money to fund investigation / analysis.
-Demand machines, tabulators for software analysis: what are they hiding?
-Justify the flip-flop (2nd one in whole campaign) w/ sham recount: what are they hiding?
-Use facts at every public event.
-Before White House / Fox, etc respond, demand that opposition address evidence.
-Where are the exit polls: what are they hiding?
-Make "Get over it" people look like the sore losers.
-"It's not a conspiracy theory. I don't have a theory here. I just have thousands of voters disenfranchised. I have dozens of questions and no answers coming from Ohio."
-Kick Georgie's ass.
