No more years!
The election is over with now. If fraud is real and it can be proven, then great. Otherwise, I'll just start concentrating more on the 2006 election.

I'll also do what I can to prevent certain policies of Bush's or other politician's that I don't like from being passed. I can't say that I'll dislike everything though because Laura Bush is currently talking about wanting to help younger kids get clean from drugs. I think she means something other than just throwing their butts in jail, so I'll support that along with anything else the Bush's present that I actually agree with.

However, I am not going through four more years of fretting and being scared to death at what happens to us at the hands of Bush. I'll try to prevent what I can, but I ultimately can't stop things from happening as if the whole world stood solely on my shoulders.

I've spent the last two years of so thinking that life was a living hell because Bush was the president. It was because I allowed it to be. Tuesday, I thought I would go through four more years of hell. Four more years of fretting, worrying, and being angry about things that I obviously don't have complete control over and already knew I didn't have complete control over. I don't believe in doing a lot of worrying and being upset over what I can't completely control, especially once it's beyond my control.

So, I'm getting on with my life and not letting Bush run it anymore. He's simply not worth it.

NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS! NO MORE YEARS!

1. I agree. What I have resigned myself to is to fight issue by issue
as it comes up

2. I don't really want to take part in mainstream politics anymore...
It seems to me like the hours I spent working for Kerry, would've been better spent working with a PAC or lobby like the ACLU. At least my efforts would have some tangible results.

That said, good luck in 2006.

7. I don't think our efforts for Kerry were lost.
We showed the other half of America and the world that millions of people did not want George W. Bush. I think we also showed Bush that we're too large of a group to be ignored (despite what he says on TV). On that note, he might not be so willing to push his agenda. He just doesn't have enough support. A little more than fifty percent of his country isn't enough to ignore the rest. We made too big of a statemenf for that.

4. Supporting Bush
The problem with supporting Bush agendas is that his actions never, ever match his rhetoric.

The loss of power is realized by such comments as yours. We have ALL the power ,we have been tricked into believing otherwise and equally tricked into supporting a party and its candidates who fail to exercise our wishes....Take back the government by refusing to desert the battlefield.

If we don't stop this now there is NO chance of us ever winning another election.

They'll be opening up government supported homosexual re eduction camps and Romanian style orphanages.

No way. Do we give in. No way.

6. I'm not giving into Bush.
I simply believe in defying what I disagree with him with and supporting what I do agree with him with. If this agenda to help kids get off of drugs turns out to be a sham, that's one thing. Otherwise, I'll support it.

I like kids more than hate Bush.

Truth be told, I don't like the Democratic party. I worked to get John Kerry in because I thought that he was the best person to work with in this country regarding reform. I didn't and still don't think that Bush holds much of a chance for that.

My point is that I'll work with people where I can on subjects I agree with and work against them on subjects I don't agree with. It's not called giving in. It's called doing everything you can to help society and not just slap the oppenent in the face.

I've been thinking about the gay marriage issue. Truth be told, I don't think Bush will keep pushing for a gay marriage amendment. I really don't. His wife is in doubt about whether it should exist. His daughters support gay marriages. Chaney's daughter is gay. Fundamentalist Christians will continue to vote for Republicans in the future anyway. I could be wrong, but I think Bush isn't going to release the dogs on this one now that he's "won". I think he's going to back off.

I don't want our side opposing Bush on everything, including the possible good because it will make our side be taken less seriously by Americans that we need to persuade to be on our side.
