AP does it again!
Like good slaves, they sent a writer to make Rice "look good"

Read here:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&u=/ap/20050119/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/senate_rice

Also, here is the writer's info. Tell her what you think about "her honest work".

AP - Anne Gearan, Supreme Court Correspondent, Washington Bureau agearan@ap.org Phone: (202) 776-9400; Fax: (202) 776-9570; Address: 2021 K St NW, Washington, DC 20006

* It says Supreme Court correspondent. The piece says "diplomatic writer."

4. Condi doesn't answer questions; she CORRECTS them.
See her 9/11 testimony.

"What we really should be asking is...

The correct framework for that question is...

I think what you're really asking is..."

Courtesy DU member :LynnTheDem

As Condi defends her "integrity", a list of some of her LIES;

"No one had any idea that commercial planes would be used as part of the attack."

"The threat reporting that we received in the Spring and Summer of 2001 was not specific as to...manner of attack."

"There was no silver bullet that could have prevented the 11 September attacks. There was nothing demonstrating or showing that something was coming in the United States. If there had been something, we would have acted on it."

"I don't think anybody could have predicted that these people would take an airplane and slam it into the World Trade Center, take another one and slam it into the Pentagon -- that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile."

Condi lying about her actions before 911;

"We decided immediately to continue pursuing the Clinton Administration's covert action authorities and other efforts to fight the network."

"We bolstered the Treasury Department's activities to track and seize terrorist assets."

"We moved quickly to arm Predator unmanned surveillance vehicles for action against al-Qaida

"We increased funding for counterterrorism activities across several agencies."

"When threat reporting increased during the Spring and Summer of 2001, we moved the U.S. Government at all levels to a high state of alert and activity."

And look at THESE two contradictory bits; first she denied any Clarke plan had been handed over, then she talks about implementing Clarke's plan...the one she denied having:

-"No al-Qaida plan was turned over to the new administration."

-"While we were developing this new strategy to deal with al-Qaida, we also made decisions on a number of specific anti-al-Qaida initiatives that had been proposed by Dick Clarke."

Condi being truthful on the total lack of threat from Iraq:

"The first line of defense...should be a clear and classical statement of deterrence—if they do acquire WMD, their weapons will be unusable because any attempt to use them will bring national obliteration."
-February 1, 2000

"Saddam does not control the northern part of the country. We are able to keep his arms from him. His military forces have not been rebuilt."
-July 29, 2001

Condi switches to lies about the immediate urgent threat from Iraq:

"We don't want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud"
-September 8, 2002

"He already has other weapons of mass destruction. But a nuclear weapon, two or three our four years from now -- I don't care where it is, when it is -- to have that happen in a volatile region like the Middle East is most certainly a future that we cannot tolerate."
-November 13, 2002

Condi lies some more:

"No one ever said that we knew precisely where all of these agents were, where they were stored."

"There clearly are contacts between Al Qaeda and Iraq… There clearly is testimony that some of the contacts have been important contacts and that there's a relationship there."

"But there is an important principle involved here: It is a long-standing principle that sitting national security advisers do not testify before the Congress."

National Security Advisor Rice
"Why We Know Iraq is Lying"
New York Times
January 23, 2003

We KNOW who the LIARS are, Condi.

You must be watching CNN in Bizzaro Land. Condi Rice never answered with truth or HEART.

Shame on you for reporting lies.

Her Gown for the inauguration probably costs as much as they give the soldiers family's when they are killed in
IRAQ.
Condi Rice, Gonzales, Bush, Rumsfield, Ashcroft, ROVE all stand firm an making HELL in the world!

SHAME SHAME SHAME

None of you have hearts!

10. What don't I get?
Not that AP would skewer her, but look at the Condi quotes, look at that picture.

"Holding firm" keeps the Fox crowd, more people smell hubris.

Remember, the majority of voters wanted Kerry.

own poll results to Media Matters. Maybe they'll all get smashed with letters and e-mails.

Also, I have yet to see a summary wherein the media points out that the exchange between Boxer and Rice was over Rice's own contradictory statements.

"Rice today expressly said the tsunami was a wonderful opportunity for the administration she serves. And clearly, those are her ethics, her priorities.

As Ms. Rice stands firm, I hope she doesn't come to regret her gross disservice to the American people, because we already regret it ourselves. And do not intend to regret much longer.
