The venerable understandinglife and I had a near moment of syncronicity in this thread.

My post is replicated below. We think a similar message should be pushed to the Democratic Members of the Foriegn Relations Comittee.

I sure like the ground is a warior's comment on an advantageous position. I wish I could get Senator Boxers eyes to read this one.

Tomorrow AM is the time for The Senator to become prosecutorial. She should be asking specific questions about when things happened, when things were known. Quick yes or no or date answers. No elaboration. This is as close to deposition as The Bush Opposition is going to get for a while. We need at least this testimony on record, now:

She should be asked if she has any knowledge of payola.
She should state a position on propaganda.
She should be asked her whereabouts on Nov. 2.
She should give a chronology of key events from 1998 on.
She should be asked about her knowledge of PNAC publications.

With her working from notes, I hope to see the 'Boxer Boogie' tomorrow AM.

If pressed, I seriously doubt that Lied Rice will be able to refrain form perjury. I'm sure she would end up giving self conflicting testimony. Even if she pulls that one off, there will be a treasure trove on the record under penalty of perjury for use as new information comes to light.

As an added bonus, I'm really loving the contralto quiver in her voice.

She should be asked what her opinion is of the dominionist movement and if she is affiliated with it in any way.

She should be asked if she knows whom outed Valerie Plame.

She should be asked about her knowledge of PNAC publications.

Dearest Senator Boxer,

Before I start, I would like to have the opportunity to thank you. The world is going mad and it is becoming a liability to be sane in the face of it all. It can feel very lonely. Those of us that can clearly see what is happening, have been wandering, aimlessly looking for a leader who will guide us in a just fight. We stood and watched in awe while time and again our voices went unheeded. Just as our frustrations reached frantic levels a few hero's emerged and spoke out against the machine of politics in our defense. I thank you Senator Boxer. I thank John Conyers. I thank those who stood in the face of opposition for those of us that have been screaming to be heard. Your heroism has not gone unnoticed and will not go unnoticed in generations to come. Countless numbers of parents told their children on Jan 6th to watch the television as history was being made. My own daughters were told with pride, "Look what a strong woman can accomplish". I wish there were words to tell you how truly grateful i am for your courage, conviction and humanity.

Today i am writing regarding the confirmation hearings of Dr. Rice. Dr. Rice is no stranger to lying as you have pointed out today. She seems to have no "moral" issue with altering truth to advance, not only her own, but the administration's agendas. The cost of her untruths is staggering. I wish to offer you some additional points that serve to question her honesty.

She should be asked about her testimony to the 9/11 commission regarding the Presidential confirmation Vice President Cheney claims he had prior to ordering civilian planes shot down over Washington.

Dr. Rice is swearing under oath. She needs to be held accountable to the rule of law. Lying under oath is criminal. It is high time these people are held accountable for their crimes. The Administration has long rewarded these officials for their questionable actions and this practice is wearing thin on the American people.
