NYTimes chastises Senators for ineffectual scrutiny of Rice
But, they also highlighted Senator Boxer:

"That history was barely mentioned yesterday, except when Senator Barbara Boxer reminded Ms. Rice of her apocalyptic remarks about nonexistent Iraqi nuclear weapons and suggested that "your loyalty to the mission you were given, to sell this war, overwhelmed your respect for the truth.""

I hope all the Senators read the full editorial and perhaps just focus on one paragraph:

"Ms. Rice has been an enthusiastic supporter of dismantling international treaties and organizations from the start of Mr. Bush's presidency. The bipartisan panel on the 9/11 attacks and other accounts chillingly exposed her early disregard for the threat of terrorism. And she was so much the public face of the drive to war with Iraq that her appearances on Sunday morning talk shows became a running joke."

Those seeking some 'guts' from the msm may find this editorial evidence that at least a few journalists still care about our America.

1. Did Boxer create a tipping point in the willingness to question,
by standing up and signing the election challenge, all the crap we've been told was reality in the last four years?

Has someone said it loud enough, that the emporer has no clothes?

Could be now.

15. She was terrific
but it's going to take more than one senator to turn the tide.

5. THE BUSH OPPOSITION is going to be saying it and...
...encouraging, supporting, and, always thanking for job well done, those of our elected representatives who say it with us, in all the ways it needs to be said.

This emperor is stark-naked-evil.

Look at him, everyone, for exactly what he is and only be satisfied when he is where he belongs -- in JAIL.

Let's thank the NYT!!! They are still going to question her again tomorrow morning, aren't they? There was "follow-up" mentioned, or am I wrong? That means there is still time. Maybe we should encourage a few folks to step up to the plate--or read what the NYT said about Barbara.

13. I don't think Condi expected such a grilling
but she's never had to go through a Senate confirmation hearing and doesn't seem to understand yet that she now answers to Congress, not just the President.

It seemed that by the evening session she was getting really sleepy and cranky. Must be because she missed her afternoon nappy with her husband, oh excuse me, I meant the president.

10. Boxer is great, and I like the fact, that others also put her through
the wringer. Sen. Dodd, Chaffee, Sarbanes and Kerry. Rice's arrogance again, likewise displayed at the 9/11 commission is unbearable, she will definitely not get far in diplomatic circles! This is bad news, overconfidence in Asia and in Europe is looked at as a bad character trait. I don't know about the Middle East....

14. Interesting that she finds Boxer's picture of her repugnant
I just wonder if she'll finally see her true image if the Dem senators keep holding up the mirror for her this morning. She's living in a bubble, and it may burst.
