Confirmation of Rice = A dog and pony show
this was just show....

Rice could have said she kills and eats homeless babies for breakfast and she still would have be confirmed as Sec of State.

This was a done deal. There was nothing short of Rice dying (and even then they would have still probably confirmed her) that would have prevented her from becoming sec of state

Our system of government is fubar'd and needs to have a serious overhaul done by us.

What control do we have over our Federal officials?
NONE! Call as much as you want..wont do a damn thing.

The ONLY way an elected federal official can be removed is by one of the 3 following ways.

1. they die in office
2. they resign
3. they are impeached (the last time this happened was in 1789 a senator from Tennessee)

Wake the hell up people! The system is broke and we need to find a way to fix it!

If you are still in la-la land and think that just because somebody wears the label of Democrat that means they will vote for what is right I hope finally finally finally todays confirmation of Rice shook you to awarness.

Demopublican and Republicrat = single party state.

2. 4. a "special" recall election
backed by monied interests

I'm not sure if a governor qualifies as a federal official. Point is, if the oppostion wants you out bad enough, they'll find a way.

3. Are you getting the feeling that we have no representation in DC?
I'm getting sick and tired of this. 49% said FU to this admin just two months ago, and today every DEM (except two) on this committee roll over and lick georgie boys boots.
:puke:

5. being from UTAH - I haven't had representation in DC
for a very long time. I did however have hope that the other Dems there would keep things in order. Now, it is harder and harder to keep my chin up (so to speak). I shall kick 'hopeless' right in the ass!

6. The United States is a one-party state, as are most banana republics
and fascist tyrannies.

As The Leader, George Walker Bush, so famously put it, "Who cares what you think?"
