A winning strategy
First of all, everyone keep documenting the fraud, notifying the public and calling for investigations.

Before Bush can become President, Congress must seat the electors. If there is not a challenge from BOTH houses, they will be seated. If there is a challenge from one Senator and One House member, we get our hearing and our opportunity to prove the truth. Last time NO senator stood up.

How do we get our senators to stand up? Well, they are all registered to vote and they probably mostly have driver's licenses with their home address. This holiday season lets bring them a little company so they won't be lonely - at their homes, so their families will see us. The ones most likely to stand up our our Democratic senators so lets be polite but bring signs, gifts if we feel like it, and plan on chanting and singing Voting Carols. WE can make the signs as anti-Bush as we want as long as they encourage but don't attack out senators. When they agree to stand up, we'll thank them and wish them a Merry Christmas.

BTW, going to their offices doesn't work. We tried that last time. We need to get them (kindly) where they live.

AS for our Congress people, last time the Black Caucus and Bob Filner (San Diego) walked out. In Ohio, we have Dennis Kucinich and Tim Ryan, both of whom might be receptive to leading our cause. In Washington, we have Jim McDermott. Bob Filner might help again and so might Lynn Woolsey. The Black Caucus has some of the finest people in Congress. With the congresspersons, calls to their offices might work - since we had their help last time.

If we get our hearing, it will make the news and, at least the issue of legitimacy will be out there. So let's pay November and December to Byrd, Kennedy, Durbin, Leahy, Feingold, Boxer, Chaffee, Jeffords, etc. Also, let's form busloads of people from around each state to increase the size. These demos will make the news if they are large enough and that may also help to influence these people.

1. No. Just stand there.
Very silently. For a long time.

They will grok it.

6. I LOVE this idea
None of the senators you mentioned are from my state, but I'd drive to do this in two or three states. And because of the time of year, we can remind them that fair and open voting is a gift that keeps on giving.

7. This is a great idea
Edited on Sun Nov-07-04 11:12 PM by Oak2004
To do this it would be a good idea to have state coordinators for the chosen states to help work out the details. It would be great if we could do them all, but frankly if even we went a' caroling for democracy to only 10 or so senators, we'd make a pretty big point.

Is there a list somewhere of the senate as it wil be? That way we'll be able to see which states are reasonable to hit, and see if we can find anyone on the ground willing to do the work of coordination for that state

10. Most people register at their home address
The lists of registered voters would be a good start.
