VOTE 2004: FAIR OR FRAUD? Nightline tonight
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 04:45 PM by Mojorabbit
Tonight on nightline.
"In this very partisan atmosphere, it may not surprise you to hear that there are some people out there who believe the winner of the 2004 U.S. presidential race was John Kerry -- that he should be the focus of the extravagant inaugural parade that will make its way up Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House tomorrow. These very vocal critics believe that because of voting irregularities in Ohio on Election Day, George Bush actually lost the election. Some go even further to say that the Republicans conspired to steal it. Washington has been dressed up once again for the festivities, so it seems a little late, but tonight we'll listen to the arguments and see if they have any merit."

"Part of the problem surrounding the various arguments about what happened in Ohio (and other states) is that those exit polls threw people off once again. By early afternoon on Election Day the poll results were being leaked very early on, showing that John Kerry was in the winner's column. Those results were turned upside down later by the actual results. But those early results had a lot of people convinced. "Nightline" correspondent Chris Bury, who was in Ohio on Election Day, sorts through all of this to see if any of the arguments that George Bush lost have any merit."

This came in my mailbox today. I wonder how it will be played.

So shallow

Just heard this on ABC Radio ... that security teams of some sort are out in the streets of Boston with radiation detectors, apparently on tip someone may be trying to detonate a dirty bomb in the city. Can't find link yet, but will keep looking.

On edit: Drudge has link to this story:

http://www.thebostonchannel.com/news/4108755/detail.htm...

"MEMA Placed On Standby Status
State Safety Officials Meeting At Bunker"

"BOSTON -- The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency has been placed on standby, and public safety officials are meeting at the bunker, officials said Wednesday.

"There have been reports that the FBI office in Boston received a call from an FBI office in California warning officials about a suspicious person that may be in the area. There have been no specific threats made, but FBI agents in Boston have been put on alert, and officials started to gather at MEMA at about 1:30 p.m."

3. It is for real
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 04:50 PM by Mojorabbit
I think. I get the email from the program every day telling me what is on each night. Are we so used to the MSM not covering anything that we are so suspicious?

Then again if this thing in Boston is for real it will preempt the program. I hope it is just hype....

That they interviewed the mystery pollster for the piece. Perhaps a letter is in order to the show.
