12. Well, now wait a minute. Consider that ANY ad like this that is critical
or suggestive in tone will be slammed as poor form and as raining on Dubya's parade. Granted Boosh deserves much worse, but I'm surprised the feckless leadership came up with this much.
...You know, at first I didn't think I agreed with you, but I think I just made your point.

DNC Releases New TV Ad on Eve of Inauguration: "Ready"

Washington, DC – The Democratic National Committee (DNC) today released a new 30-second television ad titled "Ready." "Ready" will air on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel to coincide with President George W. Bush's upcoming inauguration.

Final audio script is below. To view the ad, click here.

To request a Beta copy, contact Parag Chokshi at chokship@dnc.org.

AUDIO SCRIPT

DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe:
Mr. President, congratulations. Democrats are eager to work with you.

But make no mistake - we will not abandon our long held principles.

On Social Security, we will not let you undermine its fundamental guarantee.

On taxes, we'll fight your efforts to shift the burden to working families.

And we'll demand an honest foreign policy.

So as you swear to uphold the Constitution, we will be standing with you – making sure you keep that promise for all Americans.

7. True, true!
However, I'm an advertising student. Emphasis on the student part. They could have gotten some more effective pro-bono work from some of the C level students in my classes, honestly.

14. I think its good.
Lots better than shifting our views on abortion, gun control or gay rights. Lets take what we can get and keep the pressure on.

16. I think it was a gutsy move....
I applaud the Dems for doing this ad.

They knew we would be drowning in Bush coronation, and they extended a hand to remind us that they would fight.

I've been waiting for the Dems to come out fighting for a long time.

This is a good sign.

They could have done and said nothing. They chose to take a stand...and on Fox News nonetheless.

I expect to see rabid follow through from all of them. However, this is an excellent start.
