Let's have an E-Nauguration! Boxer-Virtual Prez / Kerry- Virtual VP
Edited on Wed Jan-19-05 11:32 PM by SmileMaker
I just had this crazy brainstorm - but, it could be the beginning of an approach to coping with our deeply troubled democracy. Boxer and Kerry both showed leadership and courage today and we were a big part of what inspired them.

They deserve to be honored with a massive electronic outpouring of appreciation.

And... since America needs to get used to having a woman for President if we ever want to survive - I suggest that we begin by E-Naugurating Boxer for Virtual President (since she stood for us in the election) and Kerry for Vice Virtual Presient (since he probably won and then forfeited it).

Maybe it would be therapeutic for us to spend this Inauguration day imagining the powerful possibilities of such an informal political arrangement and creating imaginative tributes to them for their leadership.

Let the Boxer Rebellion officially begin with America's very first E-Nauguration.

16. Another Brainstorm
How about a slogan contest. We will use the winners slogan for our protest emails. My slogan is REPRESENT

2. No thanks -- I will support my President only
That would be John Kerry. Boxer is great, has been great, in both issues. But Kerry is my President.

If you want to reconsider the ticket, then we could talk.

5. Nope -- but I would party down if we were celebrating
the Kerry/Edwards team in a heart beat.

9. It would be wonderful if K/E were the ones celebrating the real
inauguration tomorrow - but, reality being so Orwellian these days - the losers will be coronated! Edwards has his hands full. We need leadership. Maybe we should hold an E-Lection for Virtual President if everyone likes this idea. That would be good practice!

6. But this is only pretend! I agree, Kerry is my president
but since nothing that is happening in our democracy is normal anymore, we need to find some creative new ways to be represented. This could be fun!

10. All the more reason why we should be celebrating the true winner
not substitute others at this late date. Kerry/Edwards are my leaders -- even today.

7. E-Nauguration! I like it.
You must have been reading my mind. I was just thinking I should email Kerry tomorrow and thank him again for everything. For serving in Viet Nam and fighting against the war when he returned and running for President, and now, for his actions today. Damn, that man has been fighting for us for so long. I'll email Boxer too. She's great. I'm thinking it's time to check in with Elizabeth and John Edwards and see how they are doing. So many great Dems to be thankful for.

Thanks, SmileMaker. Great idea.

11. I'd go with Kerry/Boxer
Since I do think he won. Boxer has shown what I kind of expected Edwards to show - and, who knows, maybe Edwards will still show it someday, but right now Kerry/Boxer is my adopted team.

Kerry is out there being Presidential, while shrub is planning his big party, and probably his next vacation. Maybe he won't notice...

12. Kick for Boxer Rebellion E-Nauguration activity idea
First things first - let's start by kicking some complaints over to ABC for their propagandistic reporting on election fraud tonight. It was a discrace.

18. Funny you should mention that. I placed JK and BB together as a team
in my mind earlier tonight. What a great twosome! It works! And NOT in '08. SOONER. Let's focus on it NOW!

19. Sooner than '08. Let's think positive.
Shrubco has so many potential RICO charges that could be filed, and of course there is the International War Crimes scenario.

Can't hurt to dream, right?
