Front page Guardian "World Fears New Bush Era"
seems we aren't the only ones who aint feeling froggy.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/

>>>>>snip
But yesterday's poll pointed to the deep suspicion of Mr Bush that exists across the world. It found that the bulk of people in 18 of the 21 countries surveyed had negative feelings towards the president.
>>>>>snip
"Our research makes very clear that the re-election of President Bush has further isolated America from the world," he said. "It also supports the view of some Americans that unless his administration changes its approach to world affairs in its second term, it will continue to erode America's good name, and hence its ability to effectively influence world affairs."

What scares me the most is people in a foreign
country can see the problem clearly but our own
people can not. This is very sad indeed since
most americans seem to be sheep.

5. Qualification-
US public opinion polls DO show this evil regime has not fooled the majority, despite the long term complicity of most of US MSM.

Not to mention that the REAL results of the past two presidential elections show overwhelming public support for the Democratic party candidates, despite their lack of 'charisma' and their 'ineptly run' campaigns.

These two facts should give us hope, and steel our resolve to return democracy to America soon, however difficult the task.

A note to NYT and other MSM investigative journos: write up a long article on that popular DU conspiracy theory why don't you? You can quote ME anyway.

Don't forget to check out the other crazy CT's: Social Security IS going broke, Bush ISN'T going to invade Iraq, and the ever-popular and still unproven: OBL and Al-Q WERE behind 9/11. Oh sorry, my apologies- those are all YOUR crazy MSM 'network and newspaper driven' Conspiracy Theories, aren't they? Well, you might want to check 'em out anyway.

8. And, of course, Poland is one of those three
I could make all KINDS of rude gestures about this - but I won't.

I will note, however, that Poland's ambassador from the US is none other than the former mayor with whom Kitty Kelly alleges Bush had a "thing." Ahem. (Sorry, gossip-mongering a bit this morning.)

13. Misinformed brainwashed naive and isolated from the rest of the world.
Not really dumb, though too many are.

Most of the blame lies with MSM which has been complicit with the illegal regime for years, keeping the truth well away from the general public.

14. You can blame it on the MSM, I don't buy that at all. If you truly want to

to be informed and care about democracy there are plenty of ways to get your news, people of other countries manage. Politicans only take care of those who screem the loudest, they are the people who pay for their contributions and put them into office. If you don't bother to get involved, get informed, make your voice count (or vote and lot's don't!) then you get what you get! The american people are basically uninterested and spoiled and care only about the next football game, beer and whether there's steak on the grill.
You think the the civil rights movement in the 60's replied on the MSM to keep them informed? NOT!

16. And about that time MSM got a lot more interested in propaganda
and less interested in reporting news.

But, yes it is possible to get a lot of real news elsewhere, especially on the al-gorenet, that is if you have the time, resources and political motivation.

Most Americans simply don't have that, and don't have a clue how deeply they are brainwashed by MSM. I suppose they should be held accountable, but it took me a long time to stop drinking the kool-aid myself, and I've been a left-liberal Dem since birth.

17. Again most Americans involved in the civil rights movement
Edited on Thu Jan-20-05 01:03 PM by demo dutch
or the anti-war movements of the 60's didn't have access and maybe no time nor resources. The people overall lack political interest. The masses in this country has to get everything spoonfed and doesn't seem to want to think for it self!

You can pretty much blame Americans themselves for letting the goverment getaway with not disclosing what's really going on in Iraq and the eroding of freedom of speech.
This is not going on in Europe, in GB people are outraged, and in Spain they voted out their goverment. I am tempted to go back!
Sorry I am just outraged!

18. I understand and agree.
But- there are real and frightening reasons for America's plight. Many Americans, like the German people in WW II, or the Russians and Chinese of the Communist era, have a limited understanding of the true horror their situation, TV and internet not withstanding. Manufactured consent was once a useful term, but what we are faced with now is a huge MSM that is in actuality or virtually complicit with an illegal fascistic regime. And I think most of the EU media or public have yet to pick up on that.
