Who revealed the exit polls? |
|
While huffing and puffing on the treadmill yesterday, I half heard someone at CNN bashing the blogs for posting the exit polls from "nowhere" - exit polls that meant nothing, so he said and that later were proved wrong. We (CNN) he said, kept our exit polls tightly locked.
Any idea what this was about?

That's what it means. The media had descended on Boston by 6 eastern. They all thought Kerry had won based on the exit polls. There's even a report that Karen Hughes had told Bush he lost based on exit polls. Exit polls had worked for decades until 2000. They work all over the world to monitor elections. The bloggers leaked the numbers story is a way to try to convince people nothing sinister went on. Which makes me more suspicious, not less.

They had exit polling info on their freaking web site and I can at least speak for the natioanl results - it was reversed on Wednesday morning from Tuesday night - I was really pissed at myself for not taking screen shots - but I heard Greg Palast on Majority Report the other night on AAR - and he took the screen shots - so there you big big lying sacks of shit

At least after 6pm-7pm time frame, they were available. I was sampling them all night long, directly from CNN.

actual polls real time. She wouldn't say who -- but I am certain that she knew the source wasn't bogus -- she's been in the business too long.

5. They're killing two birds with one stone here |

Obviously, they're making like exit polls are totally unreliable, but they're also working on discrediting blogs and bloggers so that as the REAL truth (about whatever) gets covered in blogs, people will hopefully pay less and less attention because, they're so unreliable (and wrong) too.
Shameless.

Discredit bloggers in order to pump up their own worthless "news". Corporate America, I just don't know when we're going to forget all these distractions and take aim. Which includes corporate voting companies. I posted before, we could end it tomorrow. Democrats just pull their investments, game over.

7. Corporate media has declared war... |

The internet is a serious threat to their livelihood. The exit polls worked out quite nicely for them - they just claim it as yet another example of "why you should leave the news to the professionals." So now not only is the news media worthless at investigative journalism... anything we uncover will be seen as an attack on them.
