1. I wish the Guardian had wide distribution in the US.

9. They can get the Guardian free on the algore-net.
Now if only more Americans could read, use a computer, think for themselves or had the time. Still, even the Guardian has limitations. Log on to the Independent.co.uk for other left liberal views, or even the timesonline.co.uk, a Murdoch paper, has more objective reporting than the NYT or the WaPo.

3. I liked The Guardian story too. They feel the same way WE do about it.
Sigh. It's not our fault, Brits. He's outa control.

4. I read it every day.
I feel like Bush and Co, are just not of this world. I wonder every day where he is and what is he doing. Will Congress wake up and find they were all on some pills that made them high?

Mr Carter says Mr Bush might also be interested to learn that in 1553 one of his ancestors, a poacher called Robert Bush, was fined by the lord of the manor for netting and killing a flock of doves, an offence that in the previous century carried the penalty of castration.

Oh, the good old days - when criminal behavior was meted justice?

10. We always new something was up with the chimp -the messing link
From the article in your link...

/snip

The connection, known locally as the Messing link, came to light in 1989 when George Bush Sr was vice-president, and he wrote to villagers thanking them for their backing. In 1997 Roger Carter, the chairman of Messing parish council, sent Mr Bush Sr a booklet tracing the historical links in more detail. Mr Bush Sr wrote back saying it would make a wonderful addition to his presidential library.

...

But these days the villagers are less enthusiastic about a visit; nor will they be celebrating the inauguration with the same enthusiasm as they did the last time.

"I suppose the link is good for business, but I think Bush should be using less of the physical in Iraq and more diplomacy,'

/snip

Couldn't have said it better myself.

8. SF Civic Center was overflowing last night
It was GREAT to see so many people of all ages and descriptions with flyers and signs and banners. We couldn't stay for the march but the rally was rowdy and there was no significant police presence. (Thank you, San Francisco.)
